  • Fun once you figure it out

It looks great and is pretty deep but it takes a while to figure out how everything works. There is a help screen on the second page of the main menu, but it took me a bit to find it. A tutorial would be nice, like training on a bag to learn the punches and focus/carnage stuff.

Once you get the hang of it though you'll be boxing like nobodies business, different angles, fighting styles and fighters all work great. I haven't found any other game like this on the app store.

  • What happened to the update?

When I originally bought this app, it said that there would be an update with more fighting styles and more unlockable fighters. It does not say this anymore. There is also a big problem with the slow mo punches when it gets into the point where it says FINISH HIM. The fighter cannot be knocked down after that. Also the fighter Nello Caprio's focus special combo freezes up very frequently. An update is greatly needed, please. Thank You.

  • So much potential...

This game is awesome its like playing fight nights in my iphone but clearly could do better... Controls are unresponsive at times especially during combos and the story mode could do a little more depth by bringing more drama on the character, also if u could have an option to play it sideways would be much better too... Game play was good, graphics is top of a notch and the price is the big reason why i gave this review 4 stars... Cant wait for the update keep up the good work guys!!!

  • Concerned player

This game has a lot of potential, but there has to be some improvements. First there has to be some sort of directions on how to play. Secondly more character movement to dodge or block would be nice. Finally some more variation in characters and fighting styles would be nice. I would give this game a resounding 5 stars of those changes were made for the updates.

  • finally a boxing game!!

too bad it socks! maybe i dont know how to play the game but then again who does because there are no instructions. you just tap on your opponent to punch. tap tap tap until somebody falls down. it would be nice if there was a wider variety of different strikes. there is a high n low punch and a left n right. but half the time im tapping on my opponent nothing happens. we just stand there. i think the game would be better with buttons to execute combos alot easier and choose the type of strike you would like to perform. the game definately needs to be tweaked or upgraded. you can tilt your device left n right to dodge but its really hard because i havent dodged anything yet. ive seen the cpu block so maybe we can too? the graphics are really nice! so the game gets 2 stars based off the graphics alone. thanks for reading and i hope this helps

  • Depth!

You can deffinetly see that this wasn't some rushed game!! Has great! Transitions between screens and matches..the graphics I was impressed with! Right down to the bruises that develop while playing! Gameplay is smooth (1st gen touch) and has excelent frame rate! No lag!! Sounds are on point! Controls are responsive!

  • Very nice......but...

Ok I'll try and keep this short. This app has the best graphics of any game in the app store. Nuff said. It's awesome watching the characters bodies get more and more beat up as they get hurt. Also the gameplay is solid, the features are plentiful, and it's just plain fun to play. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to waste some time frantically tapping their screen. And therein lies the problem. Alot of the game just seems to be "button mashing". It seems like the boxer won't always respond to tapping the screen so you are forced to keep tapping and hope that he does something. Maybe if the developers could do something about that it would be a 5 star. And I really think it is worth 5 stars; just a little bit further dev's. Some other cool ideas: -Creat a fighter (chose stats, fighting styles, and looks; I think it would be cool) -The ability to upgrade fighters stats (maybe raise the stat that is most applicable to the way the player fights) Awesome job guys!

  • Tap Tap Boxing

You know that game Fight Night Round 3? Well this game cant even compare to that. This is a standard tap random spots and hit the other guy, hopefully knocking him out before he knocks you out. There is no leaning (via accelerometer) blocking is shotty at best. You have to have your gaurd up long before the shot is coming in order to protect yourself. On the plus side it is a boxing game and it looks pretty good. I would only reccomend it if you have a few dollars burning a hole in your pocket or you just really need to feel like you can beat someone up.

  • Fun boxing sim- realistic fighters

Pulse pounding soundtrack. The only thing is the controls aren't especially intuitive and there are just seemingly random red areas on the upper and lower areas on either side of the playing field. Without any clear control directions it seems like a blind button mashing which doesn't take away from the entertaining slugfests that often ensue, but it would be nice to explain what the glowing red areas mean in your control area. This would make the game even more enjoyable in my opinion- I have already beat 5 fighters just "button mashing" so I guess I'm doing something right. What do these mysterious red glowing areas indicate, where to attack your opponent? Perhaps in a future update this will be more clearly explained. Otherwise an amazing, solid boxing- make that UFC simulator!

  • Visually great....

The game play is just OK. I feel more like I am just " button mashing". There is no real game play strategy to any of the fighters. I don't defend and I still kick the crap out of them. Should be more like a stick and move or counterpunch. You can throw combos like when he defends the head, shoot the body then come up to the head. Controls need more work! I should be able to throw just kicks, just punches, or combo them they way I want. Worth $2.99. Needs more work for 5 stars
