Leave a Review Translator with Voice
What is the purpose?
I am a military member currently overseas. My phone is in airplane mode to avoid international charges and I can't get Wi-Fi everywhere. I bought the translator so I could use it when I need it out in the city. Little did I know, you need an internet connection to use it. What good is that? When I have an internet connection, I could just get on google translate for free. Thanks for nothing.Show lessTopher_41

Confused Translator
Very dissapointing. I'm suprised this got passed the Apple judges. It is not intuitave, has poor, even bad workflow and screen logic. When asked to transalte from english to japanese it spoke english with a japanese accent!! I could get a written translation but could not figure out how to get it to speak the phrase. Hard to swap between the two languages so a Japanese person would not be able to give a quick reply that would be translated into English for me. Not worth paying money for, would not be useful even if free.Show lesshewaus

Really good app!
I use this app nearly every day and it works just fine. I am fluent in english and french so I can really compare. Only very few times it could not translate. And the voice translator is not perfect but works fine. Don't forget it's a machine, not a human.ManonLoveJesus

I thought this would be a handy app but the voices (once you get past English, French, German and Spanish) are really poor, robotic quality, and it needs the internet to work which I didn't know about and as I pay for my internet usage I was getting charged without knowing it :(

Fun App
Nice fun app, it would get you into as well as get you out of some quirky moments whilst abroad but I intend to use it, the app can only get better with version control and update.

Some of voices kind of work, but most are just robototic, and not fit for purpose at all. ROK Lingo is much better, sticking to thatdecker76
Buyer Beware
Just because it says it converts the Language you may want, doesnt mean it will do it in voice, it may just do it in text.

Useless program
This is really a zero star program. I've tried to get a credit for this purchase, because it is useless if you understand even a little of any of the languages translated. Some of the translations are laughable and would make you the laughing stock of any interlocutor you play the audio file to. Unfortunately, iTunes sends me to the Alterme site to cancel, and there's nothing that can be done at that site. This makes me very uncomfortable with iTunes and it will be a long time before I ever buy anything else from iTunes again.Show lessMad Translator
