  • Latest bug-won’t switch platforms

After the latest update, it won’t allow you to switch to TD Canada. It just pops up a banner saying “choose platform” but it’s locked to Ameritrust.
  • Good for beginners

I love the app, very intuitive and the charts are quite good. It has less technical indicators than some other platforms, but definitely enough to keep the noobie busy.
  • Canadians get screwed

If you are Canadian it’s still $9.99 a trade to open and $9.99 a trade to close. Such a rip off! There are cheaper choices out there. National bank direct has no trading fees for Canadians.
  • Chart Improvements

The only thing that would improve this would be if the charts on mobile could scroll to have more empty space on the RHS to be able to put the current bar in the middle of the chart
  • Great app to learn how to trade and do actual trades

One of the beat trading app out there imo
  • Buggy app crashes on launch

If the last tab I visited is the Balances tab before closing the app (swipe up, whoosh), then upon next launch the app crashes. It keeps crashing sometimes before Face ID sometimes after it. Only two options - delete the app, reinstall it. Or, deep press and select Orders option to launch the app. Rinse repeat. What kind of software testing do you do? Let me guess, Sophomoric? Update 12OCT22: got a response from developer asking me to ensure iOS is on 14 - very much expected this canned response. It is on 15.7. Asked me to update app. Don’t see any updated version on App Store. Good form. Blame the user and give a ton of misdirections. The bug works like a charm. I explained how to reproduce it, at least try to act like you take customer feedback seriously.

  • Love the app and interface…

Just wish that the iPhone version mirrored more of the capabilities of the iPad version. Most recent updates omitted the ability on the iPhone to see previous trades in the “All” tab within Orders. When you tap on an equity on the iPhone version, and select “Show details” you cannot select an option to see your portfolio for the equity (you can on the iPad… if a trade off for space needs to be made, maybe give us the option to remove Level II). Lastly, please make the Watch app more functional for us. I only see the alerts on mine… I’d prefer to be able to see real time data on positions. The standard stock app for the Watch is delayed by ~15 minutes which is near useless for active traders. Thank you in advance for the consideration of these suggestions and for the stellar product/service you guys provide. Cheers.

  • Terrible

This new update that blocks your entire screen with the Order Entry pop up is garbage. You used to be able to draft an order, then flip over to your charts/watchlist/positions tab while leaving your order ready to submit with one click. Perfect for scalping. Now, you can’t.

Edit: Response to the dev. Thanks for fixing the loop bug quickly and thanks for responding. But I still can’t understand why you want the Order Editor to block other Views/Pages when it doesn’t have to. The Editor should not be full screen over everything else. Example: selecting an option and clicking Next should take you to the Order Editor in Orders tab. From there, I SHOULD be able to leave my order Draft open and quickly switch back to the chart in WL tab. Instead, I have to CLOSE the full window draft to check the chart. Then go back to Orders and click “Draft” again to open the draft. It’s several extra steps that have been added, which don’t make sense to me.

    Developer Response

We've designed this new Order Editor to do exactly what you want. In the previous version if you made changes to your order you would lose those the moment you navigated away from the ticket. Now when you build your trade you can swipe or Close the Order Editor and it'll save your order as a draft. As for the endless loop, we issued a patch. Please update your app. Peace, love, and happy trading.
  • Best software

Excellent software. But now won’t allow Australians to have an active account. Please reverse your policy to allow me to trade again
  • Great app especially for paper trading. Weird Forex bugs.

The best way to get new users is to have a fully functional paper trading platform. Thinker, swims paper trading platform is incredible. It follows all of the same rules that would be applied when live trading. The only problem I have had it with Forex, I have found that there are weird bugs when paper trading that show the year-to-date profit loss, and the open profit loss to be wildly incorrect. other than that the platform is fantastic.

I would really like to see the ability to create study-based orders on the mobile platform, or at least the ability to edit study-based orders that were created from the desktop platform.
