  • Fantastic app now that it works again!!!

Love the app, love the new import features! Well worth the money. This app has become a necessity at my gaming table and I love that it now supports the new pathfinder classes too! Props to an awesome app!
  • It was a great app...

...and then they updated it. Now it crashes when I hit Spellbooks. What the heck, man?

...so I removed it and reinstalled it, and now it crashes when I open it.

Edit 2... Huzzah! Thank you for fixing it!
  • Ok, what a let down!

I was all excited about this program... The price was a little steep, but if it did what it said it does, it would have been worth the $8.00... BUT when trying to open it after purchase, it crashes and closes the program. Most expensive app I have purchased and it will not even open for me. :0(
  • Well...

I can't get new spells. It crashes when I hit the spellbook button in the upper left corner
  • Excellent Program!

This application is just what I needed. I need a portable spell book and the Player's Handbook 3.5 ed. is prohibitively expensive. I tried several options including bringing my entire laptop with me. I was still wasting time "flipping" pages. My biggest concern was that the spells would be paraphrased or otherwise modified. Neither was true. The spells you can download come straight from the D20 SRD resource for 3.5 and you can even edit the information. I also downloaded the Spellbook Master 2.2 for my Mac. Together they make me an unstoppable druid!

  • Very useful

I haven't failed to use this app at each of my D&D sessions since I bought it. It's a very useful reference; I can usually find spells faster using this than the DM with his Player's Handbook.

I agree with Taelsin in some regards: it'd be nice to differentiate the spells into those known and not known by a character. Not sure how it could be integrated into the existing UI without cluttering it up though. Perhaps being able to mark/check a bunch of spells and then toggle between viewing just the marked ones and the whole list?

  • Awesome

This app really streamlines things for my group. Keep up the good work.
  • Simple, but could have been a bit smarter

The app simply presents the srd (which is lovely) but doesn't have the facility to record a characters spellbook - it's a reference guide for everything we already have elsewhere.

I was hoping this would let me take a character, input his/her level of caster and let me add spells to his/her 'spellbook'.

Perhaps the update might include the ability to input the Characters Stats (Cha or Int), Class, Domains and let us have a ready reference. (That would be worth 5 Stars - your better off going for RPGtouch - it's cheaper too!)

  • Too expensive for what you get, but good...

The first two imports of the d20 data from Wizards gave me corrupted spell books and I can't delete them, but once I got it it works great. With no on board way to add spells and only "web" import or a MAC only specific app, the adding spells is left with the user wanting more.. If they add better ways to add/modify spells "individually" and easier ways to add additional spellbooks (plus searches across multiple spellbooks for when your not sure which one it's in) this whould make it a 4 star, add the delete feature of both individual spells and spellbooks and you have a 5 star. Other then that it is nice to have the basic d20 spells on my iPod touch, handy for easy reference.
