It does not defeat the purpose, coupon books have been around for decades- you pay for the coupons and are able to save hundreds overall. I am not personally paying for the app, but there are plenty of free coupons on here. Of course the popular coupons would be VIP, it just makes sense. Also it does say whether the coupon is VIP or not before you ever redeem it, so if you don’t usually read everything, make a point to pay attention and you won’t be in a tricky situation like one reviewer mentioned. Happy saving! ### 4/5 — Amazing but the same *2021-03-31, version 4.7* When I first got this app I was THRILLED. I used the deals regularly, at least once every week or two. Had I rated this app after the first month or so, I would have given it 5 stars. However, after having had it for a few months now, I’ve realized that *rarely* are new deals added. I see the same restaurants and deals that I did when I first got the app. While they are still amazing deals, a bit more variety would have given this app 5 stars. I recognize how challenging it must be for 2for1 to find places that are willing to participate. Can you please give me contact info so I can figure out how to reset my password. Also, your “app support” and “developer website” links on the app page don’t work. Update: after about a month of the previous review, I still have not heard from the developer. Very disappointed. I also can’t get a refund because it’s been too long. Don’t pay for this app, it isn’t worth it. I paid $40 for 1 year and only got to use it for about a month. ### 1/5 — Out of business? *2023-07-08* I paid for the annual subscription. About 1/2 of the time I tried to use a coupon, the restaurant said they never approved the coupon. About a month ago, I was logged out when the app opened. I can't login, can't create a user, and I'm pretty sure they're out of business or at least completely offline. I feel I'm owed a refund for a subscription that I can't use. ### 1/5 — Do not use, used to be good, now charging *2021-12-15, version 4.9* I used to use this app all the time and loved it. Recently they created a “VIP” pass that you have to pay for in order to use coupons. The fun part about it is that they don’t let you know about this new change until you go to redeem one of the coupons while at the restaurant ready to use it. This creates a really uncomfortable situation where you have already ordered your food expecting to use a coupon. They are banking on us subscribing in the moment because we would rather pay them $4 than pay the additional money for our food. Don’t fall for it. Delete the app and ask the restaurant to honor the coupon or just pay for your food. This is now a garbage app with this update. ### 1/5 — Changed to subscription based service *2021-09-01, version 4.9* App was great until they changed to subscription based service. Some offers are free but “VIP” subscription is now needed for most things (popular coupons I think). ### 1/5 — Pay for coupons? Defeats the purpose *2021-08-31, version 4.9* Used to be an awesome app. But now they require you to PAY for any decent coupons. Completely defeats the purpose of using a coupon if you have to pay to use it. Sad that a great app was instantly ruined. ### 1/5 — Deleted *2021-08-23, version 4.8* It was showing businesses that were 500 to 1000 miles away from me. Like Taco bell. It is 1.5 miles from me, but no it did not show that one. It did not even show one in my state. It was showing everything 900 miles to 1000 miles for that one. Any store I keyed in was was far away. Why would you take almost all of the CO deals off??? Now it’s absolutely useless to me!!!!! Very very idiotic!!! Please add CO back and all the offers!!! ### 1/5 — First time using wasn’t accepted *2019-06-14, version 4.1.1* First time I tried using this app for a buy one get one at subway they wouldn’t accept it. Even though it was the location listed on the app. She said these are fake and they don’t do third party coupons! So mad. I passed 3 subways just to get the deal and ended up not being able to use it. If they can get the bugs worked out with the search and find more options I would like this better. Most of the coupons are for food. More variety would be nice.
