## What is 2TBox?

2TBox is a companion app for a diagnostic device for motorcycle ECUs. The device connects to the motorcycle; the app connects to the device over Bluetooth LE or over the device's own Wi-Fi network. The app does not work without the device.

WHAT YOU SEE
• Live readings: engine speed, coolant and air temperature, intake pressure, throttle position, battery voltage, ignition angle, power valve position
• Fault codes: codes, descriptions, status, clearing
• Service intervals for oil, air filter and spark plug, with configurable limits and reset
• Engine hours, including a usage matrix by engine speed and load
• Real-time graphs for any parameter
• Device settings and firmware updates from the app

SERVICE FUNCTIONS
The set of available operations is defined by the connected device: the app shows only what the device reports as supported. The operations themselves are performed by the ECU through its own access protocol; the app only forwards the request.

WITHOUT THE DEVICE
The connection screen offers a demo mode: the app runs against a built-in simulator, so the whole interface can be explored. Data in this mode is simulated, as the banner at the bottom of the screen states.

PRIVACY
The app collects no data and sends nothing out. It talks only to your device. The single network request it makes is downloading firmware images for that device.

The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by any motorcycle manufacturer.

## Key features

- Live ECU readings
- Fault code display and clearing
- Service interval tracking
- Engine hour monitoring
- Real-time parameter graphing

## Frequently asked questions about 2TBox

### What is 2TBox?

2TBox is a companion app designed to work with a specific diagnostic device for motorcycle ECUs. It allows you to view live data, manage fault codes, and track service intervals directly from your smartphone.

### Does 2TBox work without the diagnostic device?

No, 2TBox requires a connected diagnostic device to function fully. However, it does offer a demo mode that simulates data, allowing you to explore the app's interface.

### What kind of live readings does 2TBox provide?

2TBox can display various live readings from your motorcycle's ECU, including engine speed, coolant and air temperature, intake pressure, throttle position, battery voltage, ignition angle, and power valve position.

### Can 2TBox clear fault codes?

Yes, 2TBox can display fault codes, their descriptions, and status, and it also allows you to clear these codes after addressing the underlying issue.

### How often is 2TBox updated?

The latest version of 2TBox is 0.1.5, and it was last updated on September 22, 2026. Updates typically include improvements to device compatibility and firmware management.

### What devices does 2TBox support?

2TBox is available for iPhone and iPod devices. It connects to the diagnostic device via Bluetooth LE or the device's Wi-Fi network.

### Is 2TBox free to use?

Yes, 2TBox is available for free. The app itself does not have any in-app purchases or advertisements.

### Does 2TBox collect user data?

No, 2TBox prioritizes user privacy. It collects no data and sends nothing out, only communicating with your connected diagnostic device and making a single network request for firmware updates.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.1.5 — 2026-09-22

AI assistant: ask about a fault, a sensor or wiring; a question can be dictated.
Device firmware update from the app, without the web interface.
Actuator tests, live graphs and a rebuilt "About device" screen.

### 0.1.3 — 2026-09-16

Actuator tests
• Run several actuators at the same time — each row works on its own.
• The screen now follows the device's own test session, so what you see matches what is actually running.
• Clear reasons when a test stops: another actuator is holding the same channel, the app lost contact with the device, or another operation took over.
Dashboard
• Text cards format readings the same way the sensor table does — a sensor that is disabled or not fitted shows "--" instead of a raw value.
Device screen
• "About device" is now reachable straight from the connection screen: firmware and hardware details, reboot and disconnect are available even while the ECU is not responding.
• Reboot and disconnect moved here from the More menu, each behind a confirmation.
Connection and reliability
• More reliable Bluetooth: requests are queued, so two overlapping ones no longer fail as busy.
• Switching to another device now clears the previous one's features and settings — no leftover rows from a box you are no longer connected to.
• When the device firmware is older than the app, you get a plain "device update required" notice instead of a generic error.
Also: clearer names for "Operating hours detail" and "Device firmware update".

### 0.1.2 — 2026-09-07

• Sensors are now described by the connected device: the app takes the sensor
list, labels, units and their order from the device's own schema, so a newer
device shows its new readings without waiting for an app update.
• Coolant temperature is reported as a real temperature instead of a raw sensor
value, and a disconnected or shorted sensor is now shown as a fault rather
  than as an implausible reading.
• Honest connection state: when the link to the device drops, the app says so
and stops showing stale values, then recovers on its own when the device is
  back in range.
• "Hours matrix" is now "Operating hours detail" — same data, clearer name.
• Reboot and disconnect moved to More → About device, next to the rest of the
  device information.
• Assorted fixes and interface polish.

### 0.1.1 — 2026-09-06

— PIN protection is now set up in the app: enter a code, repeat it, and confirm
the current one to turn it off
— the Service tab shows a badge with the number of overdue intervals
— graphs show minimum and maximum instead of the median, each toggled separately
— the About device screen shows the 2TBox device bootloader type, and rows copy on tap
— firmware for the connected device can be installed from the app
— fixes: service intervals sometimes failed to load, sensor values jumped in
length, settings stayed open after the device disconnected

### 0.1.0 — 2026-08-29
