Basically I want all sort of blending with phonics sounds. The app is indeed very good and serves the purpose. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor quality *2022-11-04* Pronunciation is incorrect on many of the words, as even my 5 year old pointed out the numerous errors. Very disappointed. ### 1/5 — Letters are pronounced incorrectly *2021-11-08* I like the concept of the app, but the child sounding out the letters isn’t sounding them out correctly. She or he is making a ‘d’ sound with the letter ‘r.’ They’re also making ‘d’ sound with the letter ‘t.’ It seems as though English is a second language for the child sounding out the words and letters. If I’m having my children practice letter sounds through this app and they’re practicing them incorrectly, it defeats the purpose. Also…the half naked fat guy illustration for ‘fat’ is a little inappropriate. **Developer response:** Phonic sounds were a bit unexpectedly different when the sound was recorded and amplified. The R you are complaining is among those few. The main idea is to use the app as a learning aid for parents and teachers. Provide suitable words with pictures. Getting the maximum suitable words are itself a challenge. We also didn’t like the fat guy picture but at the moment we couldn’t come up with anything better. We’d surely update it. Thanks you for your time :) ### 1/5 — The English letter sounds are not accurate *2019-08-20* From what I was informed, as I am deaf and rely on interpreters, the sounds are not accurate. B - buh C - cuh D- duh F - fuh Etc... please review letter sounds from an English Language specialist and update the app. I will not pay for it or use it as it will confuse my child. **Developer response:** These are the alphabet PHONICS sound and are supposed to be spoken like that. This is the way it is taught in kindergarten. If you are teaching basic alphabets, please check our app Colorful ABC, A for Apple and Alphabet Vocabulary Book. ### 3/5 — Ummm *2025-09-02* When I put fat it actually shows a fat person that is inappropriate for showing a kindergartner this they are way to young to see that I mean come on man it’s a overweight buffalo serious it’s funny but not for a four year old that’s disgusting 🤮🤢🤢 instead of putting a fat man putt a cute fat cat or dog instead 🐶🐱warm regards 🪿🐰🐶🐻‍❄️🐨 **Developer response:** Thank you very much for the suggestion. Will certainly change it. ### 3/5 — English as a second language… *2022-08-02* …is what you’ll learn here. The consonants are not pronounced correctly for American English but perhaps in India, this would work. I like the idea of the app but it would teach the wrong consonant sounds for Western English. **Developer response:** You need better argument than eastern and western English comparison. We consider such comments into racist category. Children often adapts different styles and accents but that doesn’t limit their learning ability. Demo was provided so you could make a purchase decision. Learn to appreciate things in your life. Phonics are taught like this where letters are spoken with initial sounds. It is a common practice in schools. Kindly Google it to learn more about it. We appreciate your time, if possible kindly update the rating once you understand why the app is created like this.
