Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Like right now I can't even see my recorded events. It's also a slow build to get the camera warmed up to see what's actually going on. The charge on the camera box lasts about a day and a half. Would I buy these cameras again instead of going to with a different system? The only reason I give it 4 stars is because on the app it says it detects humans and other objects and it’s supposed to distinguish between both and it does not. Other than that, it’s a great camera worth the money. ### 4/5 — Great product for the price. *2024-08-27* I tried out several brands before the 3-Link TB1 camera. 3-Link definitely sits head and shoulders above the rest. The cameras were easier to setup with my network. The software quickly provides notifications and live feeds. The cloud service provides a free 24-hour retention period. So no commitment needed to try it out. And the software is easiest to navigate. The only thing deducting a star (otherwise it would be five stars) is needing to have a paid service for each camera rather than sharing one subscription across all devices. Every time I try to open it, the app closes on me. I am unhappy with this development. The keyboard covers the “OK” button, so you can’t advance. Nothing will make the keyboard go away. Likewise, try to delete a camera, and you can see the delete link, but cant pull it up far enough to press. Added an SD card, and it wont record without paid subscription for EACH camera. Very disappointing ### 1/5 — Beware Subscription NEEDED *2025-09-28, version 1.1.25* Most of the reviews are about the camera itself and not the actual app. Yes, the cameras are decent. The app, however, not at all. After the 7 day “free trial” the cameras will not record anything without a PAID subscription even if there is a MicroSD inserted. Manual recordings and snapshots do not get saved to the MicroSD. They are saved in an album folder in the apps settings page. When viewing the live feed, it won’t automatically record for motion. There’s a hundred spelling/grammatical errors throughout the app and some settings have text that reads, “if you have no idea, please choose default,” rather than actually giving an explanation on the differences. Without a paid subscription, these cameras are just a cheap kids toy. ### 1/5 — Subscription service just tacked on *2025-08-21, version 1.1.23* How are you gonna charge a subscription fee to watch your recorded alerts from motion detection on a device that has its own built-in storage. It should be writing directly to the SD card.
