En resumen, La Tremenda Corte nació como un programa de radio que contaba con un formato muy sencillo, en donde todo giraba en torno a un juzgado y planteaba situaciones en que José Candelario Trespatines había hecho víctima a Rudesindo o a Nananina de alguno de sus robos, engaños o pillerías, y éstos a su vez, lo llevan acusado ante el señor Juez de la corte correccional.

Durante cerca de veinte minutos se iba desarrollando la acusación y la exposición de los hechos por parte de los acusadores. Los temas cotidianos trataban sobre malentendidos que el propio Trespatines provoca haciendo juegos de palabras, tergiversando siempre para su provecho el doble significado que algunas frases pudieran tener.
