Malang Malang: Mood Journal

Pick words for how you feel, and Malang wears that feeling beside you. No long entries needed, and mixed feelings are welcome. Check-ins, calendar and iCloud backup are free. Malang Malang is a feelings journal for a three-minute moment to gently touch base with how you feel. Research suggests that simply naming a feeling can help you notice what's going on inside. Malang Malang keeps that moment light and soft. • NAME TODAY'S FEELING IN WORDS Pick one or more words like glad, relieved, hurt, wronged, or empty. Three is plenty, and on days you can't tell, "not sure" is a fine answer. There are 32 words including "not sure", and a long press shows what each one means. • MALANG BECOMES YOUR FEELING Malang changes into one of seven faces to match the words you pick. Poke it and it bounces, and once a day after you save, it says a short line that fits the feeling. • A LINE, ONLY IF YOU WANT Add up to 140 characters about what happened, or leave it blank. • AS OFTEN AS YOU LIKE, PAST DAYS TOO Feelings change during the day, so save as many as you like. Pick an earlier day on the calendar to save how you felt then. There are no streaks to break. • CALENDAR AND THIS MONTH'S FEELINGS Each day keeps its own Malang on the calendar. Tap a day to see, edit, or delete what you saved. See which feelings came by this month, on how many days, and the words you picked most, with no scores and no judgment. • MALANG ON YOUR HOME SCREEN See today's Malang in the small and Lock Screen widgets. Turn on one daily reminder at a time you choose if you like. It skips days you've already checked in. • SHARE TODAY AS A CARD Turn today's words and Malang into a card to share. Your line stays off the card. • ON YOUR DEVICE, BACKED UP TO YOUR ICLOUD DRIVE No account and no ads. Your entries are saved on this device, and the developer can't see them. Automatic backups are stored in your iCloud Drive, with a separate file for each installation. On another device or after reinstalling, choose a backup to restore. Entries do not sync automatically between devices. You can also export and import a JSON file. • WHEN THINGS ARE HARD Settings lists external support resources, including 109 in Korea, 988 in the US, and a way to find a helpline in other countries. The app does not provide counseling or monitor entries. • ON IPAD, TOO On iPad, everything stays at a comfortable reading width. Dark Mode and larger text sizes are supported. • MALANG MALANG PRO Checking in, all 32 words and their meanings, the line, Malang's short lines, the calendar, saving past days, this month's feelings, the small and Lock Screen widgets, reminders, iCloud backup, export and import, and the today card are free. Malang Malang Pro (optional purchase: monthly, yearly, or one-time lifetime) lets you look back on last month and this year and tap a word to see the days it showed up, make your own feeling words when none fits, see seven days of Malang in the medium this-week widget, lock the app with Face ID or your passcode and hide your entries in widgets, and make a year card. If Pro ends, the words you've made stay yours to pick.
