  • Wonderful

Having spent months with the Nintendo DS™ version, this is my all-time favorite word game. It is brilliantly executed on the iPhone, and while it doesn't have all the features of the DS version - it does an admirable job. The music, daily puzzle format, elegant graphics, and addicting gameplay will keep you coming back for more. A must buy.

  • Brilliant!

I love word games. I also love Shanghai Mahjong. Combining those two was brilliant. I have played this on the PC and it was loads of fun, so it was great to see this come out on the iPhone. Great visuals, soothing background music and sound effects, and insidiously addictive gameplay. The added bonus of a new puzzle every day is icing on the cake and means unlimited gameplay. Well worth it at the regular price, and a total steal at it's current sale price.

  • Loving it!

This is a great MahJong variant, going from the matching-style to the word game style of play. It also goes beyond the standard just coming up with words to score points; it causes you to strategize the choices you make so that you can clear the board. For the amount of entertainment you receive, this game is pure value - simple as that.

  • Best word based game

Love the game. Great concept and well executed. Like the daily challenge aspect and the awards to add extra interest...however I completed these in a few days. It would be nice to see different skill levels on the daily and award challenges as I have only struggled to be the score once in over 100 games.

  • Yea....finally bought it!-----5 Star

I was holding off on this cuz of the price ($5) at the time plus I had many other word games that I was playing too. But decided the time had come to purchase the game after it went to $3. I'am very pleased with this game and all the game site reviews and TA forum threads state that its highly recommended. And now that I've played it can voice the same reasoning in that its very polished and stable game with challenging game play (depending on how long you want to try to make your words). I highly recommend what all have been saying, that's its highly replay valued and with the daily challenge makes it a worthy game. Nice game Gameblend Studios.

  • Word Crack!

This game is seriously amazing! I have all the top word games from Textropolis, Wurdle, to WirdsWorth & they are all good in their own right. But Wordjong raises the bar. It's relaxing, addictive and challanging. I love the new puzzle everyday! And the fact it gets harder into the week!

If your like me and worried you only get one puzzle a day, don't be! You can go back and pull up all of last years puzzles!

BEST WORD PUZZLE GAME ON THE iPHONE!!!

  • Fun word game

This game strikes a good balance between fun and challenge - it's engaging but each game is fairly quick. I like that it is updated daily and that there are multiple ways to solve each puzzle. It's not too difficult to beat most of the challenge scores. It's nice to have a word game that isn't just another iteration of Boggle or word scramble (though I enjoy those, too). The graphics are nice and the game is very intuitive. A good buy!

  • Great! (Region Format Bug Fixed)

In resume the game is great. And now that region format bug was fixed it's possible to enjoy all puzzles this game has. By the way, this is not just a port, it's a proper version for iPhone with awesome graphics, music and sound. Finally, the daily challenge increases the replay value a lot!
  • Addictive, but where are the "Y's"?

A really fun game. It has a great mix of relatively easy sets to pump up your ego, yielding to unsolvable jumbles of consonants which force you to start over again with your tail beween your legs. I have been playing it religiously since downloading it two weeks ago. But seriously, where are the "Y's"?

  • The Ideal Word Game

As an English teacher, I have an affinity for word games, and WordJong has replaced Scrabble and Wurdle as the most played of the 8 word games on my iPhone. These elegant little puzzles are challenging and provide an infinite replay value as you can always try for a higher score on completed puzzles and you have 300+ puzzles going back a year to choose from.
Btw, I've never played mahjong before, so it obviously isn't necessary to know how to play it in order to enjoy this game.
