Each "update" downgrades the app...

I just downloaded the update, as it said the previous version would expire Oct. 20, 2017... I was expecting the app to work better, but now it doesn't work at all. Every five seconds, it shuts down, you can't complete any touch of any option; I've deleted and reinstalled, just useless. I've sent emails to the address provided, but no response for several days. I can see where this app is headed... Sorry to say.

App constantly crashing

App shows null error when try to search for booking or even try to look for available dates

What's the Point?

I'm not sure what the point of the Cathay Pacific app is. You can't check in for International flights (most other airline's apps let you check in but direct you to a counter agent to show your passport), and once you're checked in, you can't view a mobile boarding pass. Instead, it says "you have no mobile boarding passes saved for this trip," and does not give you any way to view your boarding pass. The only thing the app does is show your flight details and that you are checked in.

great UI, easy to book and buy

Well thought out UI, app exclusive promotions, easy to book and buy air tickets, mobile boarding pass, and loyalty status updates make this a must have app for fans of Cathay Pacific.

Glitchy and unusable

Like all of Cathay's digital properties, the app is glitchy and relatively unusable. I can't ever get past the home screen. It always times out. It's more or less a waste of iPhone space (and since I have the big one, that's saying something). Your website is also always full of technical issues too. Come on guys, you know you can do better for your customers!

Disappointing

I would expect that a premium airline such as Cathay Pacific would be able to release a reliable app for their customers. While it looks nice, you can't stay logged in (even when you check remember me) which means you have to either remember your long Marco Polo number every time you want to use the app. The app also is unstable and crashes all the time. It's been a couple months since the "new" release and it's still having these basic issues.

Downgraded

Just lost a star because now I am delighted by a new feature which requires me to log in with my password each and every time even though I check "stay signed in". Clearly this app is not rigorously tested, but don't worry at least it's not holding your credit card information... Oh wait...

Previous Version:

This is a good looking and decent amount of functionality for an airline app. Well done.

AliPay is completely horrible though. It does not accept American Express, transactions fail half the time, and it is incredibly slow. I have literally chosen NOT to buy CX/KA tickets on multiple occasions in China simply because AliPay is so bad. Please change this to what Cathay has implemented everywhere else in the world which is fine for a payment system.

Cannot save login info.

The most basic of the functionality is the ability to remember credentials so that I can quickly check travel details. Other air line apps sometimes forget password forcing a re login. This app forgets it every single time even though there is an option to save credentials indefinitely (which I click every single time) :-(

Junk

App is junk for such a big airline. Gets stuck on the splash screen most of the time or says I have no bookings. Doesn't work offline at all since it doesn't seem to store anything offline so no quick reference of booking PNR, schedules, etc., so useless. Also lacks functionality. But start with getting the app to work all the time before add features.

Who releases an app that does less?

The old app was too basic but a user could still do the key things a traveler needs to use. The new one looks fresh but has few functions. At least make sure all of your former functions work in your new app before it is released! Folks are better off just using the mobile website.
