  • Controls and Health issues

Game is ok for a retro style rpg. The controls are difficult and could be easily made simpler. Your health is damaged severely no matter what armor you have. With that being said, you die quickly. The map is somewhat ok. Could use a touch up. It is not worth $4.99, but $1.99 would be better priced for this game. Good luck

  • Perfect old school first person rpg

This game is awesome. Great dialogue and immersive world. I just wish I could use a game pad. I really hate screen swiping. Please include mifi in the next update.
  • Amazing One-of-a-Kind

This game will grab hold of you and not let you go. It rewards you in meaningful ways, has great story elements, dense world, and so many expansions you will never run out of things to do. Buy it, you wont regret it!
  • The only true RPG worth some time on iOS

The Quest is a effectively a turn based 3D open world role playing game. That being said, you'd think this game would be a dime a dozen, right? Well no. The AppStore is utterly lacking in the RPG department compared to other similar application networks, especially ones that have the kind of depth needed to keep it on your system for more than 2 hours. The Quest, however, somehow delivers on this in a spectacular way. Now, I can't speak for the DLCs, but the main game is HUGE and worth the time to explore and build in. Open ended class system reminiscent of Morrowind and a world to boot give the game something that RPG players can hardly find in AAA games for PC these days. Given the time, The Quest will keep you entertained for as long as you want it to. My only true gripe can be chalked up to the low visual fidelity considering this game has been available since I had my original iPod Touch. A little update in that regard would bring some new life to this already lively and fulfilling role playing experience

  • One of the best games on IOS

To be honest I didn't know what to expect when I bought and started playing this. I had seen a video of a few minutes of gameplay but I didn't expect this game to get me hooked like Skyrim to it so quickly. I am really impressed with this game because it seems almost like you are playing a 10/10 ranked game from a console when u are not. If u like the Elder Scrolls series, old school rpg open world games, or just want to have a unique experience with a game on IOS then look no further. Also, no internet or cell service is required to play and save in this game which is awesome.

  • I'd give it 10 stars if I could

I got hooked on classic rpg's as a kid while watching my uncle play Might & Magic VI on his old IBM desktop computer. The whole aesthetic of the game charmed me in a way that no modern first person rpg has been able to recreate. If you liked M&M 6-8, or The Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall then this is definitely a series for you. I'm blown away by the level of detail, love, and depth in this - a game that was originally designed for freakin' Palm Pilot PDAs! I plan on beating this and then gladly purchasing every single expansion - Redshift is doing a wonderful thing with this series.

So what are you waiting for? Quit reading and but that "Buy" button already 😎

  • Praise for The Quest!

Man, I've got to say. Hands down, this is one of the best RPGs made, console or mobile. The people of RedShift really outdid themselves. Fourteen expansions? Yes, please! I've been playing this pretty much since it first came out, and when I had a hiatus for about a year, I came back to find all these expansions!

There is one "issue" I'd like to mention. I put it in quotation marks because it's not all that big a deal: iPhone 5 resolution support. Certainly not a deal-breaker, but it would be fantastic. The only reason this isn't updated, I assume, is because it's no longer trending.

  • Amazing rpg

I wasn't sure at first, but after a few dungeons I fell in love. The in game beginners guide really saved it and allowed me to get the hang of it. There are tons of guides online if you get stuck on a quest too. Now I am on 2 expansions with plenty more to go. Even more gameplay than FF series for iPhone, gta, or GOF2 (I love all those games, but this has much more gametime).
If you want a looong addicting rpg pick it up - just give it a while to learn movement and such. It becomes natural - I do recommend playing with phone in portrait not landscape, found movement easier for me.

  • longest, most epic rpg on a mobile device.

with every epic expansion of this game i get more and more into how awesome of a game this is, ive played (almost) every expansion of the quest (except celtic rift and attack the astroids, didnt know there was another astroids expansion haha), got into other RPG's like aralon and raven sword (or whatever its called) and lately order & chaos (but they messed up in the last update, not gna pay to get cool stuff i SHOULD get in the game anyway....) and i ALWAYS come back to the quest, its never failed me in the slightest, 100% worth while RPG for a mobile device (yes i understand any of the elder scrolls games would be better, but there not a mobile game.) storylines, missions, enemies, boss's, skill upgrades all awesome.

    more expansions please haha

This game is amazing! Great storyline, great hand drawn graphics, its basically oblivion for the iphone! The controls could be a bit better, but its definitely nothing to fret over.

I think the best part is the community. Tap the orange pentagon amd you immediately have hundreds of your best friends at your fingertips. Stuck? There are hundreds of guides made by other players. Cant find what you're looking for? Make a post and get an answer back within an hour!

All of this at what cost? $5 and your email address for the community. Helluva a deal if i say so myself.
