  • Huge. Plain and simple.

This isn't a game for everyone, and that is made obvious in the first few minutes of gameplay. This game, although comfortable to play, is clearly for the hardcore RPG gamers out there. If you want to enjoy a full world full of quests to adventure and areas to explore, you won't be dissapointed. The Quest has a ton of things to do, and many ways to kill time. The only downside is the epic scale of this game coupled with old-school graphics and an odd control system (which is easy once learned) may turn people off. The key is to play for a while, complete a quest, explore a cave... next thing you know, you'll be 5 hours in to your adventure already looking forward to the expansion.

  • Hours of Fun in Another World

I'm not really a gamer but wanted to try my 1st smartphone game. Umm - overall not bad - I love exploring new worlds, picking up treasure and solving quests and killing monsters. If you like D&D - this could provide hours of fun. The graffitts and sounds are good for a little iphone. The small cons are - the small screen makes navigating hard esp if you want to know where you are going in relationship to the "big picture." Some minor glitches like monsters who don't die after the hitpoints are all gone. For this very reasonable priced app - you can have hours of fun and develop a character through many levels. I recommend this game if you are into fantasy games and D&D - if not - don't bother as people complain that they don't know what is going on. (Stick to Angry Birds!! -haha). LOL

  • Excellent.

To rid of the plague, buy a potion in the shop or get the spell.

For the vastares quest, either you need good persuade skills to talk to the jeweler or getting and completing the thieves guild mission.( if you can't find it, the entrance is in the city center in the far top right corner.. Turn the lamp, if it doesn't work it's either because you didn't get the quest from the mysterious man in the skyrven tower, didn't get the imports to get their attention, or it's not nighttime.

To get the mithril, talk to the blacksmith for a quest. Be sure that you are able to kill cyclopses... Hint hint...

To get to treasure island and the pyramid, go to phyrn and knock on the doors.

To get one dungeon, talk to the vastares librarian... Be sure to be at least a level 16+

In the matras smuggling mystery, be sure to have or complete the infection quet and to go back in the hole where the bubbles were. Remember where the cursed coffin is? Investigate the right of it and you'll see on tje map looking like this...

  • Does my name even matter?

This game is worth every penny, only arguable offense are the controls but the game is essentially turn based so there is NO reason to go poking your iPod screen constantly, this game requires a good time to really sit down and get into.

I got this game before it had any expansion packs and it had shattered what had concieved as possible on an iPod touch and not one but TWO expansions later I still am suprised at how much longer I have played this game instead of Zenoia, Chronicles of Inotia, or other rpg's.

I suggest if you share a love for the elders scrolls as I do then buy this game now. I could go on forever but you should stop reading this and get to either buying, or playing this app.

P.S. Alchemy is a must if you are about to buy this and play it... There ARE potions that permanently raise your stats, (but only one a level) so the faster you discover how to mix them the better! (:

  • A game for serious RPG fans

If you love RPG's with tons of depth lots of ways to build up your character and items and weapons to collect and tweak. Not to mention tons of quests and tons of side quests. Also 7 expansion packs and still going says a lot about this game. The art style may be off putting for graphic heavy fans, but give it a chance you get used to the art style quickly and the game will keep you busy literally 100's of hours (with expansions and all). There are times I forget I am playing on my iPhone this game is as robust and in depth as any PC RPG I have played over the years.

  • Finaly! A deep, quality RPG!

If you have been waiting for an RPG that brings the feel of large, non-linear RPG with lots of depth, your wait is over. The Quest brings everything that RPG fans love and expect from a game such as this. I'll admit that the graphics are nowhere near what the iPhone/itouch are capable of but the amount of gameworld and gameplay makes up for it in spades. The writing is good and well edited, so none of the bad typos or translation quirks you might find in other titles. The engine implementation is my only gripe. We all have been shown what this device is capable of and the speed is not up to par. It can take twice as long to move or preform a combat action than on ppc/pc. Having said that I won't take a star off because I know that the devs can optimize it further through updates. Please support this title! Hopefully Redshift/chillingo can bring the expansions through an ingame/web download as well as a new modernized FPSRPG that will take full advantage of the Iphone/Touch hardware!

  • Extreme Quality and Depth

This is an astounding game, with incredible depth and interest. The writing and interface are absolutely superb. The problem with this is that most iPhone gamers don't want a game with a lot of depth and interest. This game may be too serious for the "casual" gamer. But if what you want is an incredible experience, and not just a time killer, I have yet to find another game anywhere near the same league as this one.
A game of this quality would easily sell for $20 on the PC/Mac in my opinion. Feel lucky that you get it portable and for such a LOW price!

  • Get gold version

Get the quest gold worth it even if you already bought this comes with four expansions saves you more money then buying each expansion seperate. And yes it's still more than worth it the sooner the better because you can't transfer character from the quest original. If you wait for sale to end will cost you even more in the long run. I missed and bought this first too but Im still more than satisfied and glad to support developers. They keep updating the game, making more content three more expansion already said to be on the way one made by a user from a contest.

  • The elder scrolls

I've read many reviews of people saying this is like oblivion. This is only partially true. This game is actually more like The Elder Scrolls 1 (Arena) and 2 (daggerfall). This game is almost exactly the same from graphics to gameplay. The story however is different but the core game is the same. This is not a bad thing though, it is good. If you like oblivion then you'll like this game but it is basic compared to oblivion. That is why I compare this game to the first two Elder scrolls instead of the more advanced 3rd and 4th one. But the graphics are pretty to look at. The game is fun and long. This I essentially an action rpg.

In conclusion this game is almost exactly like the first two Elder Scrolls witch is a good thing so buy this game.

  • A great way to adventure in snippets

I'm a huge RPG fan, but my biggest challenge is finding the time to play them on PC. This is a great, complex, deep RPG that strongly reminds me of the Elder Scrolls and Underworld RPGs of old, but is one you can carry around in your pocket. The world is huge, there are a variety of quests (more than purely fetch this or that) and there's a lot of complexity in things like alchemy, combining articles of clothing, etc.

This plus the ability to pull the game out anywhere, play for a few minutes, and put it away without losing your progress (plenty of save slots for manual saves plus a good "quicksave" when you leave the app so you can continue right where you left off) makes it a big winner in my book.

I highly recommend this one to RPG fans looking for some classic adventuring on the iPhone/Touch.
