  • Best Solitaire

I've tried most of the card apps, and I like this one better than all the others. It works great, and the developer keeps adding games to the app.

Update: This is still one of my favorite card apps. Unlike some people, I don’t want to play “real” people. Other companies have ruined their games when they switched to multi-player. I started playing Card Shark on my Mac long before the iPad was released. Now I play on both platforms. They have added many new games over the years. The rules are just a click away if you want to learn new games.

Two wishes: I wish a card would automatically move to the foundation when I click on them (instead of dragging). And I wish they would add Bridge.

  • Always stimulating and refreshing

I have enjoyed this on my iTouch for the last few years, but recently bought an iPad and now see the games in a whole new light!! When I awake, before much of the day passes I play a few rounds. While at home I may play another round or two or three. Between work assignments, off the clock, I give it a go again for a few rounds. And by day's end, I have racked up a dozen or more games ...with a few before bed. This series is entertaining, addictive and simply refreshing while stimulating my gray tater that is rapidly turning white. I does what I expected and much more. Thanks, folks, for a fun game.

  • Loved it until two days ago

I absolutely LOVED this app and played it many times throughout the day. It has such a variety of games I even learned some I hadn't before. However, two days ago they changed the app and now you can't play any games such as euchre or rummy or canasta that are multiplayer games. While I love the solitaire games, I more enjoy playing against the computer and other skill games. If this doesn't get resolved soon I will have to search for other apps to fulfill my card playing games. 😕

  • Used to love, now I hate

The latest update trashed my choice of card faces and I can't seem to get the old one back. I don't know what it's name was. I have tried all the possible fits from the default choices and even went to the website and downloaded one of the other available images. The problem is you can't tell it it is the "wrong" one until you are actually in play. All of the choices I have tried are jarring to my eyes and interfere with the game play. Maybe I have just played too much, but I have to think way harder to identify the cards and it is so annoying that I am actually writing this review. It is incomprehensible to me that anyone who writes software would make this kind of change in an update. It is disrespectful and just plain stupid.

  • Excellent

This is really the best game app I’ve ever downloaded. I play this every day and I’ve still only scratched the surface of all the games available in the large collection. I have found a couple small bugs while playing, but they’re the type that you have to purposefully do something kind of weird in order to cause and therefore easy to avoid normally.

This is an essential app for anyone who likes card games, and, considering the number of different games that are included, very likely the best valued app in the entire app store.

Edit: One unavoidable bug I’ve found is that I’ll sometimes be dealt one or two extra cards in Crazy Eights. This puts me at an obvious disadvantage at being able to discard all my cards before the computer players who were each dealt the standard five cards, and the only solution is to quit and start a new game. I wasn’t in the habit of counting my cards because I assumed I was always getting a fair deal, but it turns out that I was often playing with an extra-card handicap.

  • Card Shark Collection

I played this Canasta game it for a while thinking it was perfect but after so many hands you begin to notice things like:
Your opponent has discarded 12 wild cards in a row hand after hand
Your opponent has not discarded any of the cards you have on the board when you also have a pair in your hand.
Your partner won't use wild cards to make a canasta unless he is going out
These problems are in the most advanced game, I didn't notice them before but I almost always won at the two easier levels -fun for a few games but not for long. This is a good basic game that needs some serious refining, I hope it gets it.

  • Reliable app, tons of solitaire games

This app has a ton of game choices and is my go to when I'm waiting at appointments - don't have to worry about ending at a certain saveable point. I've never had the app crash or freeze, regardless of which device I'm playing on. I also really like that they have the clock in the corner so you know what time it is. I wish other games would do this. That's handy when you're playing the game to bide your time until you have to be somewhere or do something. Graphics are good - better than other solitaire games I've played - and I like the background and card back choices.

  • Hours of entertainment, but no multiplayer

This collection of card games is the most exhaustive of any app I've seen. It contains almost every card game I've ever played and many I'd never heard of. I purchased it specifically for Canasta, but have played some of the other games as well. Many are solitaire variants and others are multiplayer, but unfortunately you can only play against the AI. In some of the multiplayer games, like Canasta and Gin Rummy, the AI is relatively easy to beat, and they are only 2-player versions. Sheepshead on the other hand is a very challenging 3-player game. It would be nice to be able to adjust the difficulty of the AI and the number of players; even better to be able to play against other humans.

The app is strongest in the Solitaire department, but could be improved in quality and variety in the trick-taking and rummy type games. Contract Bridge is notably absent. Overall the poker games are disappointing, and I would not recommend it as a poker app.

All things considered, it's hours of entertainment for not very much money, and has many games you won't find anywhere else. The interface is solid overall and it has never been buggy or crashed for me.

  • great app for the price

Love this app! There are so many games to choose from. Most are games we already know but they may be called different things (i.e. solitare is klondike) but there were a few games i've never played either and it was fun to play them. My only criticism is maybe they could work on the rules a bit and maybe have a short video to show you how to play because it can sometimes be confusing....other than that they could possibly add even more games but I'm happy with what they have right now!

  • Favorite App

This was one of the first apps I downloaded when I first got my iPad. I never grow tired of it. Even though I mostly play Gin Rummy, I love the fact that there are so many other games to choose from. Everyone in my family can find a game they like. I do wish there was a way to delete a move and go back, but that definitely doesn't detract from the app. I wonder sometimes if the computer cheats because it always gives me the card I just discarded, but I usually end up winning anyway.
