May be my favorite app ever
I continue to be stunned by the complexity, depth, and ease-of-use of this app! Tapping on the icons along the top brings up invaluable information that I have not found anywhere else.
Michael Tingle's Mandala option for casting the coins is beautiful and a joy to use.
I spent considerable trying to get Nigel Richmond two books on the I Ching which resulted in an almost illegible PDF version. Then I discovered that this app has them!! You can add to your library and then switch between the books to enhance understanding.
The one improvement I would recommend is developing a “dark mode" option so I could read these books at night please please please…Show lessSattvala

Love it love it love it
I’ve been doing the yi ching for 35 years. I was apprehensive at first using an app, still kind of am, not sure why. That’s sad four years ago and became legally blind, I can read but it’s arduous. On my phone I can highlight it and make my phone read it to me. Also I just love there are different books and translations. I have about five. At least two or Wednesday I have on my bookshelf. I also love I can do this anytime anywhere. I put myself into a meditative state give me a buzz just review minutes and I’ll do it on public transportation do it at a break at work anytime an issue comes up it is in my heart and thoughts, in my viscera I throw the i ching ..Show lessBabobs
Translations good, need to explore upgrades
I’ve used Wilhelm book for 30+ years. When I purchased upgrade, it was not immediately apparent how the books & commentaries were accessible in Library/Books, where you can select different translations. Excellent app, additional user notes would be appreciated- but explore app!NewEarthArtist

If you were familiar with the complete Richard Wilhelm and Cary F Baynes translation, you would know that the second and third books are supplementary, and that only the third book is relevant to hexagram readings. In the app, when Book II is purchased, the content will appear under the Book tab, as it is not specific to individual hexagrams. When Book III is purchased, the content will appear under both the Book tab, and in the Journal for specific hexagrams. As with the complete translation, the third book provides additional context, but is somewhat redundant with the first book. These additional purchases are meant for those who are already familiar with the full content of the original translation.A reference library in your pocket
This app gives you access to a number of different ways of casting a hexagram - including transcribing one you’ve cast manually - as well as a “standard” translation of the I Ching. Then, if you wish, you can add one - or a number of- interpretive aid books, both long-established and “authoritative” like the Richard Wilhelm/Bollingen edition and new and innovative, including an I Ching workbook that’s very concise. After casting, I find it most useful to work my way through the standard interpretation and then work my way through one or two of the others, from more traditional to more modern, until I feel I’ve gotten a full grasp of what the I Ching has had to say to me that time.
