  • Favorite App!

This has become my absolute favorite app to cook with - I actually find it quite intuitive and everything ive tried so far (3/4 or 4/4) have been real winners. Only wish that I could save my filters so that I didn't have to input them each time - a small but relatively handy option :) thank you :)
  • One of the worst apps for a great website

Dear Epicurious, I strongly suggest that you eliminate your app altogether, particularly if you cannot keep it functional. That, or fire whoever is maintaining it for you and replace them with a qualified company. Adding all of your advertising to the app was bad enough, but now your app fails nearly every time I try to use it, booting me out before I can even finish typing in the search bar. Seems to me that if you are trying to attract people to your site, you would want to have this app fixed. In this day and age, any company that relies so heavily on consumers (pun intended) would insist that the app be top notch -- millennials rely on apps and you are carving yourself (ha ha) out of a huge potential future market. Zero rating--don't waste your time with this app, use the website instead.

  • I used to love this app

You've improved it to the point that my 6 year old review is no longer relevant. However I updated this review to say fix the search function. It crashes when I use it!
  • Recipes fantastic but I'd love an improved shopping list

Very easy to search and find recipes, easy to add them to the shopping list too which I like, but the shopping list doesn't combine things (e.g. If I'm buying groceries for a week, it'd be nice if there was a way I could sort the ingredients, then combine all the olive oil allotments for example)
  • Great recipes

The Epicurious app has great recipes. Many are from high end cuisine magazines, professional quality rather than amateur. They are easy to access and once found and tried out you can store the recipe on your iPhone. You can also share the recipes. I like the 4 fork rating system by users, it helps choose the best recipes. This is the only recipe app I use now, the others I have tried were no way as good. Thanks Epicurious.

  • Good until the update wiped my recipes

This was a great app until the update wiped my extensive recipe box. I had paid for the option to sync as well. AND the mobile help option doesn't allow you to click on the link to contact the service desk. Gutted about losing all my saved recipes.
  • Good enough

Has good recipes. Didn't find the search options were great though. I want to search by 'quick', or 'easy', and 'main'. Also doesn't work offline of course, but remembers the recipes you have visited before.
  • Great flavours and so easy!

Love the sophistication of the recipes. Great to have recipes with amazing flavor, easy to find ingredients, & that are so easy to make. Am also enjoying the search refining functions and of course the shopping list.
  • Unstable

Unstable but otherwise great cooking app. Every time I exit the program I need to restart it twice before the app works again. Unpleasant and unexpected for a highly recommended & popular app. And I'm running latest OS 4.3.3 on iPad2... Screams for an update to fix this.
  • Not great in all honesty

It's a really nice looking app, the interface is great, everything's great, except the recipes- they all, as far as I can see, have ingredients that are beyond the usual kitchen- when I searched "mince pie" it came up with two, and the only one that sounded easy in fact had 20+ ingredients, a lot of which were just plain weird. AND, the recipe list had no mince and no pastry!
