Great update finally back to normal and sorry for the reported problem about the background picture with the frozen water over the rocks. Someone must have just changes mine after the update and I didn't know so sorry but keep up the good work great update. I'm considering to buy fluid 2 now because of this update. Thanks

  • Thanks for Listening !!

    Update 4-July-2009:
The author has restored the app to its former greatness! ***** FIVE STARS for listening to the users !! *****.

Original Post: The latest "improved performance" update goes WAY too far. Now the water overreacts at the slightest touch and never settles down!! Please give us back the old dynamics, or allow us to control it. Thank you.

  • Another Delete and Reinstall Convert

Like others, the upgrade resulted in the water continuously moving, defeating the program's main feature. After deleting and reinstalling, it works perfectly again. This is one of those apps that I use when some Windows Mobile person says, "So, what can your phone do that mine can't?". It's just cool!

  • Administrator please read

Ok so its true. All you need to do is remove then reinstall so the files are fresh and not overwritten otherwise it seems to conflict with with previous version. So no more complaining about that people.

Now i have a keen eye for change and the only this i see that could be corrected in the free version is the delay in the ripple when moving the finger fast it seems more so delayed then before also on that note the ripples do not last as long they are more prompt to stop after leaveing the screen and returning.

With that being said i feel i must imply i am not complaining. But leaving behind some constructive criticism to help better the app.

    Personal thoughts on the app
    Great stress relief, soothing music
Love the app and please dont forget about it like the makers of warefare inc. did. Keep up the great work :0D

  • How many negative reviews does it take?

I deleted the updated free version and reinstalled it on my iPhone 3G, as suggested in several reviews. Although the performance is slightly better, the free version is still profoundly inferior to the "pre-update" version. The water never stops moving and appears jittery. This is not relaxing at all.

I continue to be astounded by the lack of response from the developer. It appears as though he hasn't read the overwhelmingly negative reviews at all. His website briefly refers to "a few" emails he received about problems with the update.

It's a shame... This was my favorite app before the update. I've deleted this app now but will keep checking back to see if the developer gets his act together.

  • A way 4 some users to get old version back!!!!!!

I agree with most others here. This used to be a great app but it has been ruined by the latest update. Fortunately I was able to put the old one back on my iPhone. Maybe this will help others as well. I downloaded update direct to iPhone and saw it turned to CRAP! So I deleted from iPhone, then open iTunes, the app in my library had not been updated yet, and won't be till they fix this!!! connect iPhone and have iTunes resync the old one back to iPhone! Hope this helps others. To the developer, I hope this was simply an update gone wrong and not an attempt to get people to switch to the new paid version!

  • V1.3 Don't upgrade!

Update is good BUT you you must delete your current app, then (re)install the updated version. Doing this make the app play correctly.

This version is poor... Makes this app look like @$#*. Previous version was better. Is this how they sucker you into buying the "new" app?... buy making the old app look cheap ... I should have read the reviews before "updating".

  • WHY!?!?!?!?

The last version was so great... now when you drag your finger across the screen the water turns brown, and if you keep moving your finger, the water will never, literally NEVER stop sloshing around the screen, still with a strange brown tint. This used to be one of my favorite entertainment apps (because it looked cool and I could play music to i), but now it is just terrible. I would have rated version 1.2 4 stars, but really, this version doesn't even look the slightest bit realistic. If it is changed back to how it looked before, I would give it 4 stars, and 5 stars if they make it so the water doesn't slosh around as much. If I had known about Fluid 2 before the update, I would have bought it. But if it looks like this update, I will stay away from it. If the water physics are improved/changed to the version 1.2 physics, I might consider Fluid 2.

  • Well okay I guess

Like the other users of this app I was dissapointed to find out that what I thought was going to be an awesome update turned it into a black background with pathetic water animations....well IF YOU DELETE IT AND REINSTALL IT EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY AGAIN!!!!! Granted the water animations are still less thaen realistic compared to the first one but you can change the background again and it actually appears correctly. So if you love the app but hated the update and deleted it try downloading it one more time and it might work :/

  • Update is terrible, ruins the app

I've had the earlier version on my iPhone for a couple months and I loved it, it was a 5-star app. It worked fine on my 3G with OS 3. When I saw that an update was available, I downloaded it using my iPhone (not my PC). Sadly, the update completely destroyed the app. There is no interactivity at all, just a clunky fake-looking shimmer in the water that does not change at all when you touch it. I don't know what they did, but this is not an update, it's an app-killer. Since I didn't use iTunes on my PC to do the update, I was able to restore the older version (1.2) by deleting the updated app on my iPhone, then synching my iPhone and reinstalling the older version from the PC. It works fine. So my advice is *do not* download the update, keep the older version, and if you don't have it, don't download this version (1.3), it's totally not worth it. Wait for a fix to the new version, and then don't download that until other users try it out and report that it works.
