  • My absolute favorite

    This is THE BEST app to use to start running. My only complaint is that it is not available for my watch and is not updated. I fear that it will at some point not be useable for my iPhone. Please keep it current!
  • Works for me (38y, 17st, IT Geek)

    I most certainly started off on the couch and I'm now half way through week 7 and I'm running the 25min runs with relative ease (I don't find running easy). I'm pretty amazed at what I can do now compared to how hard I found the initial weeks and I cannot recommend this app highly enough. The encouraging voice telling you that you only have 30secs, 10 secs left seems to have the right level of motivation. I did have to delay a couple of my runs by a few days but the app just rescheduled everything automatically. The only thing I would ask for is runkeeper style maps and elevation plans to keep a record of what I've achieved. Week 6 was a bit of a shock In terms of run duration increase but I'm over that now. Update: I'm now 40, still a geek (the app did not help with either of these) but I'm now happy running. I don't do long distances but a half hour 5km a few times a week keeps me happy and healthy.   • Great app

    Helped me get back into running twice after two surgeries.
    I’d recommend building up to walking on alternate days for 45 mins over several months and then maybe daily for a couple of weeks before starting the program.
    Don’t feel bad if you end up needing to repeat the week 1 program for a couple of weeks either. At least you’re still going!

  • This app I bought almost 9 years ago and it changed my life forever

    my first week day 1 on 1st feb 2012. That day I never thought I would even run 5 minutes ever. Kept on doing it week after week (in 19F temperature too). Completed 5k in 9 weeks. It really works. voice prompt are very well done.
  • It’s always my starting point

    Every time I’ve fallen off with my fitness or life has gotten in the way, this app has been the thing to get me back on track.

    I used it after my first baby, after I recovered from a broken ankle, and after my second baby.

    The prompts are gentle and encouraging, the runs are achievable and if you are able to stick roughly to the schedule, you’ll see great improvement in your running distance. Love it.

    We named the coach “Claire” and she’s very motivating! Never thought I would be a runner but loving this new lifestyle thanks to this app.
  • Simple and effective

    Over many years I’ve used this to correct for back sliding on fitness. Gets me there every time.
  • Great App - just wish so much they would make an Apple Watch version

    This is my favourite running app by far and I’ve used it for years. Unfortunately I don’t find myself using it much anymore because I run with my Apple Watch rather than lugging around my phone. It makes me so sad that there isn’t a version of it for my watch. Please, please make a watch version!
  • Best running app for a beginner by far

    By far the best, least complicated app I have tried. With the best results. Just motivational enough, achievable progressions and no fuss. I have completed it in the past but was injured (unrelated to running) and unable to run for a couple of years. This app is old school now but I’ve tried others and they don’t work for me. I’m using it to get back into running. Have just competed week 3 and remembering again how much I love running!

  • Good app for beginners

    This is a great app to get started running. Do you have a 10k app.?
    I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for it.
