Add edit course after starting round
I’ve use this app for years and love it. I’ve tried others, but come back to Golfshot.
I wish they would add the option to edit the course after starting a round. When playing on a 27 hole course, sometimes the back 9 gets changed on us. Annoying I have to end the round and start a new 9.
A competitors app lets you easily edit the course and select a different back 9.
I contacted support about this and was just told Golfshot cannot do this. I expected a better response.Show lessslfcuUser

I’ve been using this app for ten years this month. From the features to the support I could not be happier. The support staff has always been very helpful with any issues I’ve had. I even use an older iPad and when they changed their system I couldn’t use my iPad with the app. I contacted the support staff and explained my situation and they went back and corrected it instead of recommending I just purchase a new device. I have been GolfShot pro subscriber for a number of years and love the application, its functionality and the user interface. However, the recent upgrade which included WHS changes rendered the scoring functionality unusable. The application automatically calculate playing handicap, but fails to recognise handicap adjustments applicable for various competitions or variations to WHS in certain countries. As such, the playing handicap calculation is very often incorrect and there is no easy way to set the correct handicap for the round. Can we please have an option to turn the automatic playing handicap calculation off, so we can set the correct handicap for each round manually.Show lessmrskmrsk

We have recently released our new and improved Average to Par feature. This means that Golfshot and Average to Par follows the latest World Handicap System guidelines. This does change how the Average to Par in your settings is calculated and also how your course handicap is calculated. With the retired system, CONGU, your exact handicap was rounded for use as a course handicap - IE the slope and rating were not figured into creating a course handicap. With the new World Handicapping System for GB&I, the slope is now figured into your course handicap calculations. Golfshot automatically calculates your course handicap. For GB and I, the automated course handicap calculator is a little bit different than the rest of the world. For the correct course handicap calculation we recommend going to settings > account > Average to Par > make sure to enter your exact handicap index here and change the handicap style to “Other” > press save. Please only enter your exact handicap index into settings as Golfshot automatically calculates a course handicap for you for each round using the slope of the tee chosen. I had an extremely complicated problem including duplicate accounts and total data loss from almost 400 rounds. Sara from Shotzoom not tracked down the old data file but also solved a messy duplication problem and got me a refund to boot!

If it worked all the time it would get 5 stars but it’s a bit unreliable. Some par 3s on courses don’t record with the Apple Watch link. The watch also sometimes looses its connection to the App and you end up having to unlock the watch and launch the app on the phone for every shot. Generally it’s pretty good app. If problems were solved it would be excellent.Show lesstechyMattaz

This is very easy to use and extremely accurate. It only uses about 10% battery on my iPhone 12 Pro. I track the stats for my foursome every round and it emails everyone their info at the end of the round. I’ve been using this app since it first came out 10 years ago and they just keep getting better. I’ve tried other golf apps but always return to GolfShot.Show lesstbankie61

I’ve had a problem with my app that I was unable to correct by myself. Upon contacting the support team, they responded promptly and asked to provide them screen shots of the problem. Once they received my pictures they were able to solve the problem and directed me how to regain full view of each of the holes in the two courses I’ve encountered the problem in. All our interactions, from the time I advised of my problem and the resolution of same has taken less than 24 hours. This type of support is second to none.
