Step backwards fro PDA version
The palm PDA version was much better with integrated calculator on each drug screen and better resuscitation calculator including tube sizes etc on top of the other resuscitate drugs.... I'm surpised the iPhone version is not an improvement on a 5 year old version!
Fab!
Great app, still has roast potato recipe! Used everyday I'm our Picu :-)
Good, but does not replace the book
Frank Shann's excellent book from which this app is derived, is carried by many of us. I use the book mainly for checking medication doses several times each week, I also for the others features offered - especially during emergency situations. Missing from this version of the app (ver 1.1), are the tables on the inside cover of the book: the normal vital signs by age, estimated weight for age and the ET tube sizes by age. Further to this, after using the app for a few days there are obvious omissions, yesterdays was finding that there is no mention of intranasal fentanyl doses.

Must have app.
Incredibly useful for anyone dealing with pediatric patients - I use mine several times a day. The added formulas are a bonus. The only thing I miss from the older Palm version is the access to the calculator at the bottom of the screen that allowed you to work out your dose calculations without having to exit the app.

Now very poor.
My opinion has now changed. Development appears to have stopped, there has been no implementation of the calculator, andinformation is very scanty. It is also very overpriced. I now recommend my trainees to get ePocrates whcih is free, informative and updated. A pity, but there you go.
Like having the booklet in your pocket
Frank's booklet is great, and my old one is well thumbed, but this is better than the real thing.
Still not the real thing.....
.....but a lot closer than the PDA version which was way too fiddly and slow (at least on mine!!). I still feel slightly cheated by the price a bit- there's a relentless rise in App prices lately. Good backup- I always lose the books!
Usual good work
Very good piece of work, translated well from the Windows platform. The only thing lacking is the ability to put decimal points in the weight for calculations, there can be a big difference between a 4 and 4.5kg child. If that was to be addressed in the next update it would get 5 stars.

Great application; also a fan of Frank Shann's book; highly recommended for anyone in the field of anaesthetics, ICU, paediatrics and emergency medicine. Looking forward to the updates.
