  • Keeping in touch through covid

We love this app & have been using it for about 2 years now. When everything shut down & we couldn’t see family & friends as much, it was easy to send pictures from my phone of what we were up to weekly. I think they’ve enjoyed having these printed copies of pictures vs viewing them on Facebook. We were also able send daily pictures & messages to my husband’s grandpa as he was dying since we couldn’t go be with him. We were happy we were able to share pictures & let him know how much we loved him. This app has been so easy to use & a great way to keep track of birthdays & addresses. What a great tool to let our friends & family know we care!
**4 stars because cards arrive disassembled. Kind of odd for the person receiving the card to fold it & put it in the envelope themselves. :/

  • Excellent and reliable

I have been using touchnote for a few years now and send over 20 postcards every two months. One of the best features is the little preview they email you after you have sent a card where you have the opportunity to quickly correct on the app any errors you’ve made, or simply reply to the email if there’s something not right.
The only address problem i have had is that it thought “WA” was Washington instead of Western Australia … but that seems to have sorted itself lately - i have never run out of space for the address.
The improvement I would dearly love is some more text font options! the two script ones seem fairly illegible especially for sending to older people as i do … then two others are great kid fonts but i’m sure one of these would be sufficient? I’d love just another easy read italicised font!
Also annoying is the personalised stamp option is not available in Australia and the “free map” does not really work either - it will happily find Esperance for you on the map but then name it “Australia” 🙄
Anyway on the whole thanks for a great app! and great customer service.

  • Nice idea and easy but FULL of glitches

I actually enjoy the app when it works correctly. The issue is that’s more and more rare. I’ve contact customer support on the numerous issues before writing this and they simply choose to respond to one item and ignore the 4 others.
    Positives
First off - yes the app and website are easy
    2) the cards are nice and a value for the cost
    Negatives
    1) You can’t accurately track the cards bc the web app and phone app actually return different information (I’m 8 orders in)
    2) The can’t see who you sent a card to - another glitch- sometimes it will show you one address of 3 others it displays as though you only sent one
    3) There is no way to track you chargers except your bank account
    4) accounting to their own customer support certain features are available on web and others on app - total sense - except when you actually go to either it doesn’t work as they explained
    5) they have on again off again issues with not being able to bypass their added products when you want to just sent the card. Therefore you have to actually close the app and completely start over multiple times

So bottom line - it’s a great inexpensive card app. Just be willing to to give up some things for the easy and price.

  • Useful travel app but still a little buggy

I like that I no longer have to figure out where a post office is whilst OS, and I love being able to use my own photos (particularly as physical cards can be hard to find in some places), but I’ve got a couple of quibbles with the app’s functionality - none of the addresses I’ve tried using for location worked (your app seems to only accept Street addresses, which is often not a practical location indicator. Manually insert address seems to ge disabled, as nothing happens when I try clicking on it - would be great if you could get this working to allow user entry of location). Further to this, I couldn’t get the date field to work either, so have been unable to indicate to my recipients exactly when I wrote to them.

Lastly, when playing around with photos to include with a multi-image layout, I was unable to change the first image I added, the app kept changing the most recent one. With no apparent means to select & change the other, I had to resort to discarding & starting from scratch (after copying my message text to paste back into the new card).

  • So great!

I am not much of a letter writer, but I love the ability to keep in touch with friends and family via personal photography. All the recipients love the cards too ! Also nice is that the printed card is durable enough to be slapped onto the fridge (where my “art work” is usually displayed) and has stood the test of time as a bookmark. Don’t forget to use the stamp feature! It can be a good inside joke, because usually card recipients don’t bother to look at stamps (sorry US Post Office and stamp collectors, they just don’t.) Then the card sender gets the last laugh when you reveal that the postcard stamp was actually an embarrassing photo of the card recipient, taken last …(insert your personal holiday here.)

    It’s fun. You’ll like it.

Best App I have is TouchNote. Unbelievable value for money for their cards or design your own with your photos. So quick to be delivered all over the world. Any problems and my experience is TouchNote are on to it and satisfaction guaranteed. Wouldn’t be without TouchNote!

  • Generally good but…..

I live in Australia and my elderly frail step father lives in London. This app is great for me to send cards to him, which has been my main use. However I would use it so much more if it was good to use within Australia. I have found it to be absolutely hopeless at this - fails to arrive, extremely late, totally unpredictable. Many birthday cards have arrived 2-3 weeks after the birthday! As such, I don’t really use it for sending cards within Australia. If you could improve that aspect, it would be absolutely fantastic on all levels.

  • I thought they were great but...

I am distraught, they have taken £99 from my account even though my card was expired which I thought was enough to prevent the renewal. On the day of renewal I wrote and confirmed I didn’t want to renew after they took the money anyway. They were quick enough to tell me there was a problem with my payment, but I have no idea how they were then able to take money from me unless Apple allowed this. They are still ignoring my emails and will probably do so until the day is over, then say I missed letting them know. I am desperate to stop this or I will be financially compromised this month. UPDATE: I got a corporate response to my email totally ignoring everything I had said and my request for cancellation and refund. Appalling customer service. I also tried to cancel my membership and you can’t do this on a phone or tablet, only a PC which I don’t have. Why would that be the case except that they are trying to scam customers. I cannot believe such underhanded tactics. I am financially compromised because of this and their response is to suggest a cheaper membership! Disgusting! Do not use!
UPDATE: have contacted me to say there is grace period and they will contact me but nothing else as yet. If there’s a grace period (and I have already emailed) I don’t know why they haven’t simply refunded and cancelled my membership.

Sorry to hear about your experience. It's always best to follow up on subscriptions that failed to renew for whatever reason (with any company, not just TouchNote) as one failed attempt does not equal with a cancelled membership. We always send out a reminder before renewal takes place (the one you received). In any case, I see that a full refund has already been processed and confirmed through email (585074) If there's anything else, feel free to update your email request. Thanks.
  • Great in theory, horrible in execution

My last TouchNote postcard took about 3 1/2 weeks to arrive. This is the worst that it’s been, but I’m used to TouchNote being an ineffective method of sending greetings to others. The graduation announcements that I sent out had multiples with blank faces, so people didn’t know who the invitation was from. I’ve had several individual cards that I’ve sent have similar problems. No cards have arrived in a reasonable period of time, neither postcards, nor Cards mailed in an envelope.
I got notification on one of the recent cards I sent that it was “in the mail” about a week after I ordered it. I complained that it had taken so long. I was told it was just a computer glitch, that the card has been mailed on time, but given it’s significantly late arrival to the recipient, I seriously doubt it.
For almost every order I made there was some sort of a problem. I didn’t follow through on every card I sent, but I had to stop sending important things, like sympathy cards, because I had no confidence they would arrive… Or arrive on time, or contain the photo or text that they were supposed to.
I had a subscription this year. I will never do that again.

Sorry to hear about your experience. We post all orders within one working day. Unfortunately, we can't control final delivery. That's why we offer a free replacement for each card that gets delayed/not delivered, right from the app (no questions asked). If you haven't emailed already (help@touchnote.com) please let us know so we can check and find a way to make this right for you. Thanks
