I still love this app on the iPhone for the customizations but hate that it’s still not stand alone on the watch. It also, for whatever reason, has a problem with consistency on connectivity with the iPhone. I have my iPhone in my arm band on my left side and the watch on my right wrist and I get the no connectivity symbol often when running. Sometimes it just stops working completely with the app. Got to get with the program on stand alone with the watch. Until then I’m switching to Runkeeper who actually has a stand alone app for the watch.

Also, the notifications on the Apple Watch don’t work. It doesn’t even announce start or stop but the have them there available. Stupid. Cancelled my subscription.

We are sorry that you have had issues with our Apple Watch app. If you decide that you would like to give it another try, please write to support@abvio.com for help.
  • Location location

No thank you. You do not NEED to know where I am. Is it so hard to be able to use a running app without location services on? I was so excited too. To finally find an app that lets me set my own running plan.
    Deleting.

    Developer Response

All running apps use Location Services/GPS to track your distance, speed, and provide you with a map of your activity. However, you can use our app without using Location Services, using your step count to measure your distance and speed instead. If you have questions about that, please write to support@abvio.com for help.
  • Best running app out there

I’ve been a Garmin guy for the past 15+ years but decided to see if I could switch to my Apple watch and be as happy. I tried a bunch of apps but didn’t find one that I liked better than my Garmin until this one. It does EVERYTHING and then some. My favorite feature is one that surprisingly few apps offer, the ability to compete against your previous times on a rout (ghost runner feature). This is something Garmin has always had and I’m glad to see in incorporated into this app. The only thing lacking is the ability to use it as a stand alone. Currently you have to take your phone along for the ride. I don’t have a problem with this, it fits nicely into my running belt, but I know others do.

We are thrilled to hear that we have been able to replace your Garmin! Thanks for your excellent review!
  • Ne marche pas avec Apple Watch

Ne fonctionne pas avec la montre. Argent gaspillé 😡

    Developer Response

  • Runmeter

Do I need to purchase the “elite” for the running app and the cycling app.

    Developer Response

If you have purchased Elite for Runmeter, you will already have everything you need to do your cycling activities as well. No need to purchase both apps. If you have additional questions about this, please write to us at support@abvio.com for help.
  • Not a workout app, just a tracker

Subscribed to this app because I thought I could do track and interval workouts with it. Ended up buying ismoothrun instead. One time purchase at half the annual cost of this one. Too bad I had already paid for this one.
This app does not offer interval/lap recordings and does not work with watch alone without phone.
I learned it does not allow you to create an interval workout so no ability to keep track of intervals/ laps. For example, if you do 8 x 400m on the track, no separate stats.
You need your phone, does not work on Apple Watch alone.
ismoothrun claims to handle both as a one time purchase. We’ll see but looks promising.

    Developer Response

The app does indeed have extensive interval capabilities, including the ability to track and review your the statistics for both intervals and laps. During your workout, you will hear interval announcements to prompt you for interval changes. You can view your individual interval stats on the stopwatch as you proceed or after your workout has been completed. As you noted, we do not have a standalone watch app at this time, but it is something we are considering for a future update.
  • Impressive response by developers

Brilliant direct response by developers relating to an issue I was experiencing with the app.
    10/10 for customer service.

    Developer Response

Sorry to hear you ran into this battery usage issue. Please update the app to the latest version to fix the problem.

  • Great overall, needs stand alone use for Apple Watch

I started jogging and running again after recovering from a previous running injury. LOVE this app overall, just wish it had stand alone functionality for Apple Watch. I like to leave my phone behind when I run, but I’ve been taking it because it gives great statistics. The pacing feature has helped me improve my 5k times and currently using to train for half marathons.

  • Run meter

Works great, keeps track of everything. It was connected to face book so when you are running and someone sees you on Facebook, they could make a comment and you could hear the comment while you were running and your friends could see where you were on the run. That doesn’t work anymore. Not sure how to get around it. Probably for safety reasons, but that goes both ways.
