I am a neurosurgeon, and found that this was one of the best apps in this category. I love this app, and must say that I use it several times a day. I love that it has a feature where I can save my favourite words in their own special categories/folders. I also am happy with its ability to give word origin and give you the definition for nouns, adjectives, adverbs, etc., if that particular word has multiple meanings. Another feature that I like is that it gives words in languages other than just English. Being a neurosurgeon, the feature that I find most helpful is the thesaurus and synonym part of the app, this is included after the definition, but in blue lettering. One simply clicks on the desired blue word and gest sent to a page with info on that word. The initial word can be re-accessed via a left pointing arrow at the bottom of the page. This part of the app allows me to find and use words that the lay person can understand (rather than speaking in medical jargon which can make people feel ill at ease), while talking with a patient and/or their family members.
