CNN and Democracy
Each day that I wake, I feel immediate anxiety until my daily CNN news briefing. In a society that uses the expression “you have to have faith” to deny reality, I’ve relied on CNN to keep me well informed of domestic and international issues. For those that read this review with skepticism, I’m a retired full bird US Public Health Service Commissioned Corp veteran with 30 years of service. If you’re not aware of this service, you probably also think that it is responsible to NOT wear a mask. Failure to wear a mask makes a statement to other Americans that one encounters in public is an admission of selfishness that prompts a mis-quote from JFK as follows: Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you instead of “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”Show lessAubcurt
Good news site
In times like this where lies fly every and a president spreads trash everywhere it’s refreshing to go have a news site that shares true accurate facts not like others spreading total mis informationcfdbuoycrfvngjbhnj
7 AM CNN
When I get early, I watch/listen to the CNN app & get highpoints of relavent news.i don’t get any surprises later in day I stay informed. If news is overwhelming, I can go dark, and catch up later.
Above is generally my opinion-can’t remember when I wrote it. Over past year, being more around my BFF, I have to be reaaal careful not to appear looking at CNN when some news hit. He is hard-core Repub & I’m a Democrat, with several sincere discussions resulting. I do wish the option of “no commercials was still given as many times my time to read is really short. Your news appears to me best coverage, whatever the reporter’s opinion, since most other network news shows read CNN first + the APP or uP wire, even the Fox station.Show lessMRFjS
1984 in 2020
I have read George Orwell’s book, 1984 in which he says “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past”. It’s a scary proposition but somehow it seems almost a reality in the USA. Please continue to tell the stories objectively. It’s okay
Overall, I’ve found the CNN app okay to use. It shows the popular news items. But it seems harder to find the latest news. And the International news seems quite dated at times. (Does seem to update very often - sometimes news is days old)Nick001NZ
CNN ONLINE NEWS SERVICE
I just love CNN’s news service for its comprehensive coverage and unbiased reporting. We lack this extensive world coverage in Australia. CNN gets the nod from me in attempting to provide as independent a news coverage as it is possible best exemplified by interviewing leading personnel from both sides of the political spectrum. I particularly admire Chris Cuomo for his in-depth coverage of issues in Primetime and his great understanding of matters displaying his detailed research of topics especially with American politics.Show lessheadsupcnn

In this ever confusing life we are living in America and in the world it is nice to know we can have a trusted news source and that is CNN. Although Trump and the right wing followers of his dismiss real news as fake news thereby limiting themselves to rhetoric and false conspiracy theories of Trump and the right wing networks, Americans can stay informed with the incredible in depth reporting of Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper, Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, Erin Burnett, Brooke Baldwin, Brianna Keiler, Kate Bolduan & a superb cast of supporters reporters. D.Sajay Gupta keeps us informed of important issues relating to this coronavirus pandemic & without him we’d be lost. I can find these articles quickly, at my fingertips & stay informed. Covid 19
It amazes me how CNN compares the US to Europe and Asia when it comes to Covid and rarely compares to that of Canada. We are your closest Neighbour and greatest trade partner and yet it’s as if we don’t exist. Can any of your reporters find us on a map?
With that said I sincerely hope the border remains closed until you control your mess.
