My "Go to" Bible
Since the days of Palm, Blackberry and other PDA's, it's amazing that there are literally dozens of different translations and dozens of different commentaries available at ones fingertips. Olive Tree's app is easy to access and easy to use (and this by someone not the least bit tech savvy), with their Resource Guide handily cross referencing Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, and other reference materials... even one's personal notes. I use it for my individual Bible study/daily devotions, and my husband uses it in far more detail and depth for his sermon prep.. It can be as simple or complex as someone wants to make it, and there is no lack of choices in Olive Tree's library. It moves a bit more smoothly than Laridian, is far simpler to navigate that Accordance, and is more affordable than Logos... One thing to note... When you purchase books, I recommend you always go through their website instead of buying them through the app... 1. If there's a problem you can return the book for a full refund, 2. You can earn points and get discounts... One thing I would improve... The search engine... When a word or phrase is searched, it only searches the book that is open... (As opposed to Laridian which will search your entire library...) After using a number of computer programs, PDA and other Bible apps for years, I find that Olive Tree is the app I start with, end with, and use the most in between...Show lessBiblehearted

I have used the Bible App by Olive Tree for many years. I have used to it follow reading plans and read through the whole Bible or themed sections. I also use it along with my BRF notes. I have the King James, New King James, NIV, and the Message. I even have an original Greek version (unfortunately, all Greek to me!). I also have several different commentaries. The navigation through the Bible is quick and simple and the app works without advertisements. The verse you are reading may have a concordance reference to another part. Click on it and a pop up appears of the reference. With another click you can go back to the place you where originally. One brilliant thing is text size. You can, very easily, set it to suit you. I would recommend this app to anyone wanting a Bible reading app and it is much more too.Show lessAGM2009
My favourite bible app!…. And more!
I initially got this to buy the ESV study for my iPad….. then added it to my phone….. then purchased an ESV archeological and then Interlinear…… I love that I now have HALOT & BDAG through this app - honestly so easy to use, and I tend to have my ESV on screen and then have the interlinear open on parallel - and I can easily search to my lexicons for study of the Hebrew and Aramaic using HALOT or the Greek using BDAG - incredible for full in depth Bible study in your pocket everywhere you go! I totally recommend this - whatever translation / paraphrase is your favourite - it’s all available here, and to me - each purchase I’ve made has been so incredible and this is just so easy to use! Best thing on both my iPhone and iPad.
Been using this for many years after originally buying software for my computer. I love reading my leather Bible but this is a convenient way to carry my many different translations and other Bible helps to church so that they’re at your fingertips during a sermon or Bible study. The range of wonderful Bibles and other books available will give you access to a unparalleled library on your device.

Powerful and affordable Bible study software
One of the best apps for studying the word of God. This app might not be as powerful as Logos, but it is affordable. Some of my favorite features: 1. The Strong’s Bibles. These Bibles with Strong’s words are reasonably priced. Tapping a word brings up a pop up with the original language word and its definitions as well as other occurrences of the word. You can view other occurrences right in the pop up. 2. The resource center. Many of the resources available on their store are linked to the resource center. A linked Bible dictionary will have automatically display the definition of, say, a cubit when reading a verse that mentions a cubit. 3. Powerful search feature allows the user to search very specific words and phrases in a specified range. 4. Items purchased on one device can be used on other devices on almost any platform. 5. Powerful reading plans that are flexible rather than the rigidity of other apps. 6. Parallel reading and split view allows you to compare passages and translations. 7. Highly customizable and in active development. My biggest complaint: include a way to display history. When jumping around in multiple chapters and books, it would be a real time saver to have clickable history links.Show lessHeyhey345

This app has features not found in the other Bible apps I’ve used. My friends who use it recommended that I try it and the search aspect of it is superior in that I can quickly locate and then pursue that particular train of thought. Years later and various upgrades have been added and I have developed a greater liking for this Bible app. I have recommended it to anyone looking for a comprehensive guide to my preferred Bible reading.
I like my little Olive Tree compendium of scriptural readings, references and happenings of scripture to be enquired into that answer my questions so that facts are separated from fiction that answer many things.
There’s no need to search the App Store for other writings Olive Tree’s got all you could want of strictly true knowledge.Show lessMzilikasi

Great software- a lot of free additional content you can add including Bibles and commentries - but I paid extra for the Strongs word study tools within the NKJV Bible - click on a word, find out the original hebrew or greek meanings - very useful! Once I researched and discovered that the Old and New Testament are an integrated message from a loving God who has a plan in action for this world, it really has changed my life - I even found the meaning of life summed up in one book in the Old Testament (Chapter 12 verse 13). Jesus said 'If you love me, obey my commandments' and this software is helping me to try and do that and I use it every day.Show lessBill Bertie the Third
Great Bible Software for the Pastor and Layman Alike
Olive Tree Bible Software is an excellent and affordable Bible study and presentation tool for both the new pastor/teacher and layman alike. I am a layman who has taught the Bible to children and adults over the past 44 years. Lesson preparation and presentation along with personal study became much easier, efficient, effective and meaningful with the advent of Olive Tree Bible Software to my study tools.
I cannot compare it to other more expensive Bible study software tools because I simply could not afford them, but I have found it an affordable and most helpful study tool. It has many: Bible translations (including the most trusted, some of which are free, and modern easy to read translations and paraphrases), Bible reading plans, maps, introductions, commentaries, study Bibles, Bible language and culture tools, books about the Bible and many more helpful products at affordable prices.
I have been blessed and have become a more mature Christian partly due to this helpful tool. I could never have afforded a huge hard copy library, but I have been able to access those same study options thanks to OTBS. I highly recommend Olive Tree Bible Software to anyone looking for an excellent and budget friendly Bible study option.Show lessTaz DW

I use this mainly on my iPad, and the way the app is able to connect all of my downloaded Bibles, maps and other information is great. Makes it so much easier to reference the material. Fantastic! Really love the split screen. It did take some time to learn how to get the most from the way things worked, but the Guide was fantastic with instructions. The only trouble I have is deciding which Reference to use. Most excellent and highly recommended!Show lessGandalf_the_White
Bible Study app
I have read through the Bible now for over 25 years. I have used this program for over 5 years. I get concerned about every update. I accidentally updated on my phone a couple of years ago, but every update has been a challenge to get used to. This last one I don’t like not seeing the projected end date. I still have the older version on my iPad. The only reason I continue using the app and trying to adjust to the changes is because I’m committed to reading God’s Word every morning. Part 2 I have discovered another thing I miss. On the older version, when I select reading plans it shows My Plans and has a list of all the times I have completed a plan. I am finishing my 6th year of reading Life Journal in this app. Before that I was using the Victory Bible Reading Plan from Omega Ministries for over 20 years. I do like the ability to have a Bible app on my iPad and iPhone that has a good through the Bible in a year plan. This has been a plus for me. I haven’t found any Bible apps that have a Bible reading plan that I like as well as Life Journal. I have other Bible apps, but this is the one I use the most. I have just struggled with some of the changes that are made. I think I have read Life Journal for 10 years now. I just hit update all now and got a message of downloading an older version because my iPad has no more IOS updates.Show lessiaboG
