  • Addictive and Well designed Story/Play - Has Potential for Greatness and Overpriced

Worth $5 max. $10 that I paid I should've received a bundle with two expansions (which would make this game hit its potential along with good updates). Addictive and Well designed Story/Play - Has Potential for Greatness and Overpriced
  • World-building strategy adventure

This game is a unique mix of turn-based strategy like Civilisation and adventure gamebooks, where you control all aspects of your tribe and choose how to respond to various threats and events.

There is a lot of mythology to get to grips with though, which makes it a little hard at the beginning. For me it's 3.5 stars; an entertaining curiosity, but not one of my favourites.

  • Buy, buy, buy!

This is an awesome, unique game, with a depth that is hard to find. My only complaint is that the creators haven't released any more games like this! Thoroughly addictive and memorable.

    Developer Response

We are still working on Six Ages, sorry it’s taking so long. http://sixages.com Update: if you hadn’t heard already, Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind is available.
  • Rivals the Depth and Lore of Skyrim. Incredible.

So no everyone is going to agree on the title, that's fine. This game lets you dive into a Nordic culture where the spirits, gods and sacrifices make a profound difference in the life of your kinsmen. This game has 600+ frames of artwork and hundreds upon hundreds of unique events. Decisions that happen two years ago may bring prosperity or run. One of the more fascinating aspects is the hero questing, where a leader travels to the lands of the gods and pays homage. This event is the highlight of the year for your tribe and can bring great blessing or your leader can come home in pieces. It also makes you wonder about your ethics if you were a tribal leader. Raid and pillage your neighbor every fall? Clearly... They came to your clan hall and dropped a duce in front of your throne (true story). Moreover, it's a world that not clearly understood by any of the characters, leading to the mystery. Enjoy the music and some of the most complex gameplay you'll find in the App Store. The learning curve is there but worth the investment.

  • Hours of Play

This is an excellent game that has hours of gameplay.

The artwork in itself is worth the cost and the huge number of different events, problems and scenarios is impressive.

Pretty difficult (yet to finish even the normal level difficulty game) but better that than too easy.

    Recommended.
  • Best on its own terms

Though less so these days, iOS games were at one time quick to pick up, cheap, and fun for a little while. Great for variety.

KoDP is different. It's an immersive RPG/resource management experience. KoDP works as an ongoing saga maintainable in those spare couple of minutes, yet overall the "tribe" does require plenty of time: characterising a stone age chief perhaps isn't for everyone! The game perhaps is too difficult to "beat", and expectations must be modest.

  • Work

If you love homework and don't have anything better to do you might like this. But in my opinion if you really wanted to work and study you're better off getting a second job or going to school as this would actually help your life and probably be more fun.
  • Pirated and purchased

I try games before i buy. This one passed woth flying colors so i am paying the devs homage by buying it.
    You guys rock.
  • Good game

Interesting management/story game with decision based play, great for when you want to play something that's engaging but that doesn't need your full attention. Well polished story, nice old school artwork and music that doesn't get too annoying.
  • Great game! Very immersive

Amazing game. I mean if you can read and have an imagination that it is.
