  • This is good

I like it because it is good and fun.
  • Awesome Learning App!

My son is almost 4, he's autistic and loves letters. We've been told he'll probably learn to read and or spell before he is able to talk.
    1. The app is easy to get the letters to snap correctly. Other apps are too precise and it causes frustration.
    2. You can change the settings so that you can spell in any order or in order. After a while I switched it over to in order and my son has since mastered this spelling things like Pentagon or triangle or other big words in less than a couple seconds.
    3. Just discovered you can toggle the hints. Now we've turned it up a notch. He has to spell the words from memory and in order.
    4. When you tap the picture of the word you have to spell it says the name of the object out loud so they can also associate the sounds with the order of letters.

This app is well worth the money! The art and animation are very basic but that's OK because our goal is identification of the sounds, spelling, and further driving the recognition of letters.

Have had the app for about 1 year now.

  • Love it!

I got this app to help teach my son his lowercase letters (already knew uppercase) in a fun way. I love how customizable the app is! In a short time my son has learned many of these words.
  • Love this app for early literacy skills!

In settings there is an option to make the user spell from left to right. Everytime you select a letter, the app says it and then will spell the word and pronounce it. My three year is definitely engaged and will repeat the letters along with the app!
  • Simple but (therefore) attention-grabbing

4 thumbs UP! (2 from me, 2 from the kid)

Our 3.5-year-old will easily sit half an hour playing this game (he would keep going if I'd let him). I like its simplicity without extra fluff. All the setup options are very intuitive and straight forward too. Our son kept picking letters out of order, and it was bugging the OCD in me. So I went to settings, and there it was, the "left to right" option. Tada!

We've only played the shapes category so far, but I like the variety that goes beyond the regular, way too common geometric shapes.

Having the Japanese option was actually the determining factor for us, and I would think any parents who are raising their children in one of the optional languages would really appreciate the multi-lingual function.

We had the free version for a long time but now that our son is really picking up on letters and sounds, we decided to get the full version even though I knew the app was old with no updates of late. But lo and behold, I was pleased to see that it was just updated a month ago! Yay!

The animation and the drawings are very basic, which can be improved, I suppose. I do however like the bold (again, simple in a good way) colors.

  • Responsive and Fun with lots of Options

Great app with logical parental controls and many options. With or w/o hints, short, long or random length words, force left to right or random. My son has "graduated" through the different options and chooses this app over others. It's easy to understand what to do, good feedback for errors, quick response when touching and dragging the letters. Also offers categories for what words you spell, i.e. home, colors, animals, etc. Or choose all words and get random mix. Nice options to keep the game fresh or growing with the child.
It's really worth it to get the Deluxe version. App works the same on iPad and iPhone and my son doesn't care which device he's on as long as he can play. The biggest thing is he is spelling these words outside of the app now and isn't that the point? Win.

  • My 2 year old loves it!

He just turned two last month and found the lite version on my tablet. He sat and figured out each word in it by himself. After he finished playing it, he wanted more so (and I don't normally do this) I broke down and bought it. Best $5 I have spent on an app in years! He's already been through the vehicles and color parts by himself, and just started back on the vehicles. I'm lucky to have gotten the tablet time to write this review. Very easy for a two year old to play, and he's getting the matching down and recognizing sounds that the letters make after one day already. Kudos and thank you for a great and fun learning tool!
