  • Awesome

This is one of my best games and I can't wait for episode 3 to come out
  • Brilliant, but multiplayer...

The game is brilliant. If you like checkers and Starcraft, this is the ipod app for you! The engine is amazing, although there is one crash that happens 50% of the time I start the game using my ipod4.
The balance, however, wasn't that great, if speaking from a tactician's point of view. In multiplayer, spamming tough units is really the only thing you need to do. No amount of tactics can help against a horde of green healers or red destroyers. If you're a hardcore tactician, then this game's balance will fall short a bit, but probably not enough to ruin the awesome gameplay it provides. Keep it up, Cat in the Box!

  • A fun innovative rts

It's got an intriguing story that goes well with the innovative artstyle. The gameplay is decent, not too simple not too complicated. It's unlike anything else on the AppStore and other consoles, and most importantly, fun to play.

The only issue is that the update is a bit overdue.. There are some crashes which happen even on 4g with no apps running parallel, and we're all still waiting for the 3rd episode :(

  • Crashes too often on current iOS

As the other guys say below, the game seems cool but crashes too much to be playable on current iOS, even after reinstalling is still crashes.
Obviously the dev has a new update coming and hopefully that will fix the issues, I'd say wait till the bugs are fixed before you download. I was just keen to get a 1/2 decent RTS on iOS but looks like I'll have to wait for the update before I can play it.

  • Awesome

    Retina Display Support?
  • Amazig Game

A Critical fast paced RTS, even the smallest action can affect your chances of winning. Fleet formation, grouping, flanking, etc everything is simply sublime about this game. Althought the only thing its really missing is a map editor. After finnishig the whole game maps get rather repetitive. Regardless its one of the best apps to come along.

  • Beautiful, intense, and deep fun

First off, the controls did confuse/frustrate me a little initially, but after a few rounds I got used to it and realized how excellent it actually is. Yes, it is different from what I am used to (an rts on the pc), but very well suited to the touch interface.

Now to the meat of the matter: this game is absolutely fantastic! I've played through the campaign and a few multiplayer games with CPUs. I was sad that the campaign ended when it did, as it was just getting really exciting. I can't wait for the next installment.

The graphics are simple and smooth, in the same style as Attack! and Defend! and very well suited to the limited screen space on this device.

The controls (once you are used to them) work well and offer many options to quickly select, move, build, and set formations. Battle is interesting and fast, rarely does one wait around too long for something to happen. In big battles things can get a little confusing, but the clean interface and graphics help to ensure you remain in control at all times.

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone to try out multiplayer with, so i can't say much about it, but as long as there are no latency problems then I guess it will be very interesting!

This is the best rts I have played on the iPod touch so far, and certainly the most well thought out to work well in this device. Highly recommended!

  • The most beautiful and most unplayable game in the App Store.

Nice looking game. Howsabout some instructions? I don't want to spend 20 minutes figuring out how to play a game. It has the feel of something that might be good (in the same way that some Bollywood movies look like they might be good, if only I could understand what is going on). I'm going to refrain from deleting it for the time being in hopes that the developer adds some kind of instructions or tutorial in a future release.

  • One of the best games for iPhone

Real-time strategy games require pretty complex controls, and this game has some of the best. Also, as with all games by this developer, the framerates are spectacular - something that matters more than you might think, until you see it. Despite few colors, the level of detail is serious. Great game, awesome storytelling in this one. Awesome. Keep 'em coming.
