Great app for learning kana
If you've ever used and enjoyed their website, this app will not disappoint. So far I'm halfway done learning Hiragana and this app hels a lot, especially during my morning commute. Get it.

Great app for learning
A great way of learning Hirigana and Katakana. Works exactly like the site (which is also great), but can be done on the train or bus, meaning you can easily find time in your day to learn some Hiragana.
Fantastic Application
This app does exactly what it promises and does it VERY well. I have never once had it crash or freeze up. It includes exhaustive lists of Hiragana and Katakana and is a steal for how cheap it is.
I have zero complaints, but rather a few kind suggestions for the developers of this application and the free website associated with it. They are as follows:
1. Allow selection of individual characters for study instead of just a row. This would allow users to cherry pick specific kana they are having trouble with so they can be drilled in a concentrated manner.
2. Add some options for color changes. I will sometimes use this before bed in a dark room and the white background is too much of a contrast. The same goes for the website. I suggest making an option for a black or dark grey background so its easier on the eyes.

Perfectly Simple Works Perfectly
I just started learning Japanese this year and it was my brother who showed me the PC version of Real Kana. I used it multiple times a week, using it maybe for 15 minutes a day. I knew every character faster than I ever thought I could, took maybe a week. I always hated flashcards so this was the perfect alternative. When I found this to be on the Iphone, I could not wait, I still have Katakana to learn :D.

Really simple, really effective
I spent hours infront of the real kana website and reccommended it to everyone in my class. Don't use it so much any more but felt I owed them the price of the app. Using it to touch up before an exam and loving it, same simple interface but works faster and smoother than the website.
