## What is 34a Prüfung?

Prepare for Germany's security guard exam, the Sachkundeprüfung under § 34a GewO held by the IHK, with 631 practice questions, a mock exam and flashcards for the oral exam: the 34a licence (34a Schein) you need to work in private security (Sicherheitsdienst, Bewachungsgewerbe). In the exam format used since July 2025, every question explained, no subscription. Interface in English or German; questions and study material in German, like the IHK exam.

MOCK EXAM IN THE CURRENT 34A FORMAT
82 tasks, 120 points, 120 minutes, 60 points to pass (50%). Tasks with one or two correct answers and partial credit, as in the written exam since July 2025. Go back to any task whenever you like; when time runs out the exam is handed in for you. Then see your points per subject area and every answer with its explanation.

631 QUESTIONS ACROSS ALL 7 SUBJECT AREAS
- Public safety and trade law (Gewerberecht): 89
- Data protection law: 47
- Civil law (BGB): 87
- Criminal law and procedure, weapons: 138
- Accident prevention (DGUV Vorschrift 23): 62
- Dealing with people: 154
- Security technology: 54
333 single-choice and 298 multiple-choice questions, each with an explanation in German; explanations of legal questions name the section of the law and lead to the matching study note.

STUDY NOTES AND FLASHCARDS FOR THE ORAL EXAM
47 study notes (Lernskripte) sum up the exam material. 245 flashcards with model answers prepare you for the oral exam.

WHO NEEDS THE SACHKUNDEPRÜFUNG?
The 40-hour Unterrichtung (no exam) is enough for many guarding jobs. You need the Sachkundeprüfung to run or manage a security business, and for work such as patrols in public spaces, store detective, door control at nightclubs, and leading roles at refugee accommodation or large events.

FREE TO START
Free: every question by subject area, the study notes and flashcards, one mock exam and the first 3 days of the plan. To unlock everything (unlimited mock exams, the full plan, statistics), choose a pass of 7 to 90 days: a one-time payment, with no subscription and no auto-renewal.

Independent app, not affiliated with the IHK or the DIHK.
