Great app

This is a great scoring app. All the players love it and are asking me for the stats as we're playing; run rate, target run rate, partnership and politely applauding the batsman reaching his 50. I keep on learning new things and if in doubt contact the developer who is very responsive.

To fix problem below of batsmen crossing just touch the arrow between the batsmen. Would be nice if it prompted you when the wicket fell if the batsmen crossed though.

iPad compatibility problem?

As we anxiously await the delivery of our iPad I have been downloading a number of apps. When I reviewed nxCricket - Cricket Score Book it stated that it is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. However, after I had purchased and downloaded the app it appeared under the iPhone and iPod touch apps heading and NOT the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad apps heading.

I am concerned that it will not run on the iPad and wish to let others know of this potential problem.

Most Impressive App

I've grabbed all the cricket scoring/umpiring apps from the store in preparation for the upcoming season of work games. This looks head and shoulders better than the rest in the 'before I've used it in anger' category. We have a couple of evening games, followed by a number of all day 10 over tournaments, so it's going to get a real test soon. I especially like that I can email the scorecard to the boundary at the end of each over, because when you are Umpiring both ends, scoring and organising the day these things make a HUGE difference! Author also seems very responsive to comments and updates the app to cover mistakes/extra features. I'll come back and update the review after our first game!

Excellent with a couple of flaws.

This seems to work very well. 2 issues.
1. You cannot create a team and then add players to that team on its own. You need to add the player then select from a long list of people.
2. I was trying this out, and in the sun it is very hard to see. If the background was lighter so you could see the screen better, then I would give this 5 stars.

Easy to score

Pros:
Good value for the money
Dependable
Fully charged iPhone 3G model lasted over 3 hours for a 40 over innings. It may last longer with 3G disabled
The full batting and bowling scorecard screens in landscape are impressive
Two touch scoring helps prevent errors
Undo feature takes you back to the beginning of the innings

Cons:
Not sure why the mode of dismissal in scorecard view lists bowled bowler caught fielder instead of caught fielder bowled bowler
Info/help screen is limited. Needs a detailed manual.
