Very flexible drawing program
I’ve used this program that makes drawing easy for several years . I primarily use it to get photos accurately drawn onto painting canvas or watercolor paper. Recently, I tried the hosting feature using an iPhone and iPad. Wow! I wish I had tried this years ago. It made every thing easier, more accurate and enlarging to bigger sizes simple. It’s the best system I’ve found to compensate for my imperfect drawing skills.
Today, I was having a problem I couldn’t solve. I sent a question to Pete, the developer, from the program on a Sunday. He responded within two hours and gave direction to immediately resolve my issue. I’ve never before experienced such responsive customer service on any product.Show lessJim M again

Excellent App, well worth using
First of the app just works perfectly. I have yet to find a single bug. In addition, it worked immediately.
Second,it is backwards compatible. I have both a new iPhone with the latest iOS and an old iPad with an obsolete iOS. This app worked perfectly on both. So many other apps will only work with the latest iOS which effectively makes them useless as Apple updates it’s operating system.
Third, it is extremely useful for people who,like me, are trying to learn how to draw. In my case I make a drawing then overlay the photo I am trying to draw. My mistakes are instantly visible so I can learn what I am doing incorrectly.
Finally, based on emails with the app’s author, I have found him to be most helpful.

Thanks for the kind words, X! I have always prioritized making sure the app continues to work on devices running earlier versions of iOS. There are always going to be new features available in the newest versions of iOS that I want to use, but I do my best to make sure users aren't forced to update their devices in order to use the app. This is why some of the features say things like, "requires iOS version xyz", etc. I also try my best to make sure the app is fully tested on as many devices as I can afford to own! With the help of our Facebook beta tester group, I can usually feel comfortable that we've worked out any kinks before the app is released to the public! But, I really appreciate how much YOU appreciate it as well! Some apps are created by big companies with full marketing, sales and development staff. In the case of Camera Lucida, I'm the sole employee. This means that I get to prioritize what makes the most sense for the users and by working closely with the folks who contact me or join our user group, I will continue to prioritize their requests. As others have noted, Camera Lucida isn't about flash, social media, ads, etc. It's about creating a tool for artists that is the best camera lucida available!Best Ever Drawing App for all levels

What a brilliant app. I have been drawing and painting for decades and normally drew a grid for accuracy. Not anymore. Camera Lucida is the perfect solution. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
