The simplest and best PDF and comic reader available.
I have tried a few PDF readers and none load large files as quickly as this does.
For comics too it is great as it loads files without fuss.
I found transferring items to be really easy too, literally just drag and drop them straight onto the iPad via File Sharing in iTunes.
Interface is plain and simple but it makes up for it in speed and usability.
Also you can tag files to make them easier to find.

Fast!
This is by far the fastest app for viewing large PDFs. I have a 9mb architectural portfolio and after trying the file in other readers and finding them slow to non-responsive when turning pages, imagine my pleasant surprise when Cloudreaders allowed me to zip through the file as if there wasn't any rendering time at all. No idea how they did this, but I couldn't be happier.
There are a few features that would be nice - the ability to treat files and tags more like folders and a less clunky way of grouping a large number of files (the UI for adding and removing tags is really tedious as you have you click on everything for all for EVERY CHANGE).
But none of that matters so long as this app stays FAST FAST FAST. Once you are reading, Cloudreader gets out of the way and let's you read. Must-download.Show lessLot49a
Great app, but...
This app is much better than the others for reading comics, because of the tagging feature, and 2 pages in landscape mode.
However, a few things...
-no thumbnails?
-after exiting a book in a tagged series, the bookshelf goes back to displaying all books instead of the tagged series you were reading from
-can't organize the order of the tags
-no "page-turning" animation like iBooks

Almost there!
This is simply the best third party comic book reader.
Whilst it may be low-thrills, it does a lost of things extremely well and only misses out on that elusive fifth star because at the moment you cannot arrange your library into subfolders or as a book shelf. Instead all your books/items appear as a long list which, whilst functional, is not ideal.

Clean, Fast, and Easy
99% of the electronic docs I read are PDF's, and it's amazing that the best iPad PDF reader I have found so far is the one that's free!
Simple and easy to use. Smooth page turning and magnifying. Functions maybe limited, but I guess one should make sure you really need those functions before you pay anything.Show lessbillyhw
Best Free IPad PDF Viewer Yet
I've deleted all my other free pdf viewers. This is the best by far. Not sure how large a file it can take but while others lagged in page turning this one is fast and responsive. I couldn't get one pdf I had to operate properly with other apps; this one just did it straight away. It also had a brightness adjuster...awesome! One improvement I could suggest, could you implement the stanza way of adjusting screen brightness? Really useful on IPad and would make this app perfect.Show lesssuperdudeo

I also bought GoodReader. When I tried it(just got my iPad a few days ago), I was little disappoint. It's a little bit laggy in reading PDFs and pics(just tried these two file formats). Now, it would live with my web-based services such as google docs.

Brilliant reader... awful interface
It reads PDFs and comics faster than anything else out there. It even supports reading books left-to-right for manga lovers. Transferring your books to it is really easy (would be nice to do more than one at a time though...), in terms of reading of PDFs and comics its easily the best out there.
The interface though is horrid. Books don't have covers and its just a big list. If you could have an iBooks like shelf it'd be perfect (and I'd pay money for it too!)Show lessJeffTheSpermWhale
Ok but Buggy!!
Works ok. Will be great once they get rid of the bugs. So far noticed that some CBR files do not open.
Also.. Noticed that when opening some pdfs. The pics on pages do not appear.
