You’re in good hands with Allstate until you file a claim
I’ve been with Allstate since 1975 when we moved to New Jersey. My homeowner and vehicles coverage are both with Allstate Insurance Company. On December 18, 2023,the south side of my basement wall caved in. My basement was covered with mud and water. The HVAC unit and the hot water heater were damaged. The house was condemned by Washington Township building inspector. We were ordered to vacate the house for safety reasons. We stayed at the local Hampton Inn for 3 months while the house was being renovated. Finally, on March 8, 2024, we were given the certificate of occupancy. The sad part was that Allstate denied our insurance claim. The reason given by the Insurance adjuster, Mr. Joe Nicolo was hyper static water pressure. My insurance agent, Mr. Vic Simonin said that anything involving ground movement due to water pressure is not covered by the homeowner’s insurance policy. I wish and still praying for the approval of my insurance claim. The Insurance Commissioner of New Jersey did not help us. Any advice will be appreciated. Please help us in any way. The drivewise app needs an option that the driver is not using the phone. Most car rides my daughter gets the phone and she watches Tuttle Twins. So all my drives get reported as being on the phone, or when she drops it I get hit with hard breaking. Also annoying that whenever I get an Uber or Lyft I get hit with driving at bad hours when I'm not driving. Give me an adapter I plug into the car, get it off the phone. Rates rose because of the app and I ended up switching car insurance companies. Easy answer get the drive wise off the phone and make it a device that plugs into the car. Many people are canceling All State because of this stupid app. Edit: Developer messaged me telling me that I can manually go in and remove trips after it records them. Response- I don't /want to have the time to go in and review all my trips. Make a device that plugs into the vehicle and quit using apps on a phone of you can’t do it properly.

All states sent me a reply telling me that the app follows my phone and not a certain vehicle and that I should check it every day to mark ride that I was not the driver. No All State how about you fix your process before more people move on from you.Show lessJavePumpkinSpice

Hi, the app follows the phone it’s downloaded on, not a specific vehicle. It also automatically detects trips. So, there’s a chance it may record a trip while you’re not driving. Like if you’re carpooling, riding a train or bus, or taking an Uber. There are options to prevent a trip from recording or to remove an unwanted trip. Then those trips won’t count toward your Drivewise driving history.The Allstate Plan!
I am 58 and I have had most every big name and most smaller auto insurance companies. I waited this long to have Allstate because I always considered them high class and figured they were too costly but when my initial quote came back I was blown away!!!! I saved 150$ a month, yes you heard right, not a year but 150$ a month. Then what happened next really shocked me. I got a call a couple days later saying there had been a typo and that my insurance would be going down another 50$ a month. That is a savings of over 200 dollars a month from liberty something or another. I looked and looked and my coverages are better! So if that’s not good enough then let’s talk about the customer service. Jenifer has been great in helping set this policy up and a new one for my daughter also whose car was on my policy but apparently my daughter wasn’t covered. Liberty didn’t tell me my daughter had to be on my policy to be covered, they said only the car had to be on there because she wasn’t part of our household. Allstate is currently working on my daughters policy still so I am curious to see how this turns out. TTFN. To be continued…….Show lessMikerob66
