Never works, extremely expensive
I get a working bike maybe 50% of the time on a good day. More often than not I’ll pull away from the doc just for my bike to shut off completely. With how expensive it is to check out faulty bikes, You’re better off riding the Lime Scooters, which are way more reliable and far cheaper.
Not to mention that as a student I get to check out bikes for free, but if I’m late by even one minute to return the bike it’s a nearly $8 charge. I’m currently fighting a $40 fee for a ride I did not take (they’re saying I was out for three hours, I was not)
This service is not only rickety and completely unreliable, but also shady in how it handles its students, and it’s fees. Would not recommend.Show lessA shame
Great idea and should be a super easy platform to deploy but has been made unnecessarily complex and not user friendly. The pass system is ridiculous. Why can’t it be pay per use? Common technology in other major international cities. Plus, there is no mention that the electric ones are charged extra, even if the batteries are dead and you can’t find info anywhere on how to charge or replace the battery, and the extra charge comes in a day later. I’d be happy to pay the extra if i was forewarned about the extra charge and indeed got an electric bike that worked, but since the battery was dead and i rode it as a regular bike for a short 20 min, a $10+ charge is a total ripoff.Show lessA couple suggestions
I used the app for the first time in Nashville over the last two days.
I’ll leave the comments on the bikes conditions elsewhere but with respect to the app I’d like to suggest a couple things that could be implemented.
1. When locating a bike dock it would be useful to have a link to Google maps or even directions within the app. I had to walk to another dock after finding bikes with zero charge.
2. When locating a bike perhaps it could report not only the number of bikes but current charge levels too.
3. It would be REALLY useful if the app could report how many minutes left on a pass. Say, a notification at 10min and 5mins so I could return the bike rather than having anxiety over going into the per minute rate when far from a dock but not far enough to warrant another pass that I won’t be able to finish.Show less
