Ruined by the update!
I used to play this game almost every day. It was a quick way to switch off my brain for 10 mins and relax while taking a break.
Post update, it removed all the maps and hid them behind a paywall. You also need to pay money to use different colors. Want to play as a different country, guess what, it costs money! Not to mention the actual gameplay is 1000% worse than before and takes forever.

Newest “update “ killed a good game.
I used to really enjoy this game, until the latest update when they added a bunch of new graphics that really slow down the gameplay, and don’t add anything to the game. Very frustrating and unnecessary. I will probably be deleting it and looking for something else.idcwby
Why? I paid for this app and you ruin it...
The “new redesign” completely kills the game mode I bought the game for... I bought the game as a Risk simulator. The new redesign now allows for skins and other micro transactions to make money for you but you got rid of the standard map. Risk is about world conquering. All that we have World-stage wise is the stupid “half-the-countries-of-a-real-Risk-game” Classic-map.
The color scheme went from classy/classic risk board game look to this new crappy “play in the dark / we-are-trying-to-Be-cool”

The “update” installs a completely different version of the game. The maps are gone (unless you buy new ones). Settings for AI players are gone. It’s frustrating to play and has far too much animation.
Like all the other recent reviewers (post update), I used to love this game, but hate it now. It’s not the simple interface I paid for and loved. I wish I could roll back. Fortunately, I have not updated on my phone, but I don’t know how to not mistakenly accept an update I don’t want.

I’m pretty annoyed at this new update. They’ve ruined the game’s simplicity and straightforwardness with fancy graphics and annoying animations. I would love to see the old version re-released as a different game so I can continue to play that.

Ruined the old version
This used to be one of my favorite games to play with friends. It was fun so I bought the full version for all the maps. After the recent update, they removed most of the good maps and made the other ones cost money, along with boat loads of other micro transactions. I paid for all the maps now I have one, and the other good ones are gone entirely. After years of fun, I’m uninstalling it.Show lessConbutt
Bad update
This game was great, but the new update removed many of the best maps and now charges for less choices. Not recommended.Actéon
Old maps gone
All the many old maps are gone and are now replace with even less maps, that i have to purchase again. It would not have been bad if I could just play the old maps and ignore buying the new ones. I’m not going to repurchase more maps when I already bought the full version.stevenchh
Bring back the old version
This was the only game I always kept on my phone because it was a unique take on Risk. Now, the new update is a Hasbro Risk spin-off and lost all aspects of its simplicity it once had. Furthermore, all additional maps I paid for are gone and now have to “earn” them back by playing online or paying an additional subscription fee. Extremely disappointing to say the least in the update. Please take the advice of the large majority of recent reviews and bring back the old version.Show lessbmarsh309
New version is awful
I’m not the kind of guy who writes reviews of apps, but the update of this game was too much.
The controls are bulky. They’re not as smooth as the old game. The colors make it hard to differentiate the different sides, since they’re all kind of brownish-grey.
If you were going to update the game, maybe add a few new cards, crack down on cheaters, or make it easier to block toxic commenters. Instead of a simple yet fun game, we have yet another Risk rip off.Show lessMr. Man10
