A life saver and absolute must have!
If it was not for this app I would not have got my iPhone back. After dropping it while getting out of the car across the road from my house, I searched everywhere for it. I knew it had run out of batteries and knew that looking on this app would help to some extent. I kept checking it but it said it was offline as it had run out of batteries. I put an alert out and gave my partners mobile number so that if it was turned on it would alert the person of the number to call. Thankfully they were honest and rang the number and then met me to give it to me back. While this app is not the only reason I got it back it really played a big part in it being returned. Someone stole my phone today and luckily I was able to track them down with this app and go to the police so they could go and retrieve it for me. The reason I didn't emotionally breakdown today was because of the sliver of faith I had in this app. Thank you so much, I have my iPhone back.jbraii

I lost my phone at Target. I didn't realize until a half hour later. Thankfully I remembered I had this app and signed in on my boyfriends iPhone. We saw the phone moving so we went ahead and got in the car. Turns out the person who had my iPhone hopped on the bus and as soon as I found out which one I was on their tail. I was nervous as to how I was going to confront this thief. Bus stop after bus stop, people kept getting off and the GPS showed my phone was moving along with the bus. Well after an hour we got to the bus' last stop. I approached the bus driver and explained that I've been following him for an hour and I hear my phone alert ringing. He tells me a regular rider turn it into him and said she found it underneath a seat, but the phone had been going off for several bus stops. Whoever tried stealing my iPhone 6 Plus knew they wouldn't get far. But, This app saved my a#! For sure.Show lessJOCC415

Great idea, but I STRONGLT STRONGLY believe that Apple should add a feature that while someone's iPhone is switched to lost mode it should be impossible to turn off.
This would therefore stop anyone from being able to turn the phone off and make it impossible to locate if your phone is stolen! Should be easy enough.

Not perfect, but got me my phone back.
I lost my iPhone 6 at a concert. Minutes after losing it, the phone was turned off. I kept checking the app, and used the option to notify me when the phone was found (which would most likely be when it was turned on). The phone was briefly turned on three times, each time showing a residential area as the phone's location. I drove an hr and a half to the area, knocked on the door, and asked for my phone back. The residents at first denied knowing what I was talking about, but after I shower them an email from the app saying my phone was at that address, they handed over the phone. I do, however, wish the location provided was more specific, rather than a 300 or so foot area. I had to guess between 4 houses before I knocked. (The location provided in the email showed at or around that address). 5 stars because I got my phone back! I would have been SOL without this app!Show lessGaryB.Woz

You do NOT want your phone emailing itself if you use find my iPhone app, if it's stolen you'll never see it again if the thief sees the email come through! Come on developers!!Fantaznz
Worked like a charm...
Spent the day doing a local move. After dropping off the Uhaul truck, I rode with my wife back to our new house. She dropped me off and while getting out I must have set it down somewhere on the truck. She drove back to our old place to clean up and either on the way there or the way back it finally fell off and landed on the road. When she got back I used this app and we found it on the side of the road. Luckily (strangely I might add) it was at night so no one had found it before us. I see others liked the older versions, but it worked great for me! Great app when you really need it!Show lessfwbsofmedic
LIFESAVER!!
Couldn't find my iphone 5 last night. Was really stressing me out. Tore the house apart, and found other 'lost' items but not my iphone. Finally googled to see what can be done, and found this app. Gave it a try, and pinpointed my phone at the polling booth where i'd voted in our state elections on the day. Drove back down there (9:30pm!!) and fortunately there were a few remaining staff there who, after some persuasion, reluctantly opened the door and let me in to retrieve my iPhone. THANK GOD FOR THIS APP!! I might add also that at first l was skeptical since l had 'location services' switched off on my iphone to conserve battery, but u can remotely switch it back on through this app. Modern technology.......gotta love it!Show lessMaccanaut
Boo - guess we all have to get new phones...
This amazing app has saved me many times... Once I even lost my phone in the middle of the day- in Kings Cross of all places... Went to an Internet cafe, activated the lost phone part, someone rang the number that came up on the screen & within 15 minutes I collected it from the Kings Cross Police Station. Gold. Pity I can't use it now. No doubt I will lose my phone, won't be able to find & then will have to buy the latest, shiniest version. Genius move by Apple. Once again.Show lessClaireK
