  • My fave Bible app!

Thank you so much! This is my absolute favorite Bible app to use (and I have many)! I listen to this EVERY single night when I go to bed after praying. I put my air pods in and listen until I fall asleep. I listen/read when I have spare time and just want more of God’s word. I love the entire narration and music in the background, the different characters and the whole scene! It paints the whole picture for me, making the Bible come alive! I love how it picks up right where I left off and allows you to highlight/bookmark verses with different colors/themes. I’ve tried many others but your app is what I always come back to. Thank you so much for everyone who contributed to this amazing app ❤️✝️

  • To those who have ears, let them hear

This is the second bible app I've downloaded, and I absolutely love both of them. It's so incredibly and deeply moving to hear the words not only being read, but really read with great passion. This makes your experience so much more realistic, as it kind of grabs you, and you feel like you are part of the story, (which we actually still are). The only thing I wish could be added would be making more versions available to be made into audio as well. Just beautifully done, reliable and I use it constantly. I especially love that you can download the audio so you can play it anytime if you're somewhere with no signal.

  • The most amazing

The most amazing book that comes alive when you read and meditate on written new testament two thousand years ago old testament even longer but it's like reading the news today if only the governments of the world would give read and take note LOVE IT
  • A disaster!

Of all upgrades I’ve seen on an app this is the very worst and I’m deeply sad for the Kingdom of God . I can no longer recommend this ap where previously I would have given it 5 stars All the simplicity has been totally removed. Before You could just open it and read immediately, you could highlight verses easily, not have a black background, you could vary the text size and high light it better The dramatised version of the old is far better than the new one with its awful sound affects. I’m in mourning . I cannot think what possessed these guys to wreck this app and make these totally unnecessary changes that make it difficult to use and a much worse app.

  • So far I really like the app.

It would be nice to be able to select the chapter and verse for audio. It just plays from the beginning of each chapter. Also, the text does not always sync with the audio, so if you're just listening and hear a verse that’s great and want to see the verse and just read, you have to read/scan until you find it. These suggestions will make excellent updates. The app has recently been very glitchy. I am doing the 1 year Bible plan, and if not every day, it’s every other day that when the plan launches, it starts at the last verse of the chapter. With all of this, I am EXTREMELY grateful for this app, keep up the excellent work, and for that, I'll rate it 4 stars!!!!

  • Keeps My Attention

Different voices to identify speakers and the emotion you can hear with this audio dramatized version of Scripture, makes me pay attention to whom is saying what and reintroduces the emotions of the speaker that simple reading and familiarity with the text can dull or cause you to miss. Enjoy it.

Downside - have had download and play issues once I leave house and play it in my car. Sometimes it will keep playing, but often it will quit halfway through the chapter I started and won’t restart, but go back to beginning of that chapter and play same verses over. A little frustrating as riding in car gives me opportunity to listen to more in one sitting than I can usually get at home working around the house.

  • No Wi-fi?

I downloaded this app so that I could listen to the Bible while I am doing chores or out driving about. At first everything worked smoothly, but after awhile it started giving me he “no-wi-fi detected” message and wouldn’t work at all. I thought maybe an update was necessary, so I looked and gave it the update I found. Still no luck. My son uses the wi-fi hotspot on my phone to play games on his iPad, so I know the issue is not with my phone. I have unlimited data with my phone plan, so I’m really frustrated that I have to connect to a portable wi-fi hotspot device to use this app on my phone! Very frustrating.
UPDATE: I never hit send on that 2 years ago! Lol
I have learned that I can download before I go (if I remember) so that I can get my fill of the Word on road trips now. It seems to be better about not getting stuck while on the road these days. Overall, it’s handy to have this app on hand.

  • Annoying odd bugs

    Bugs:
    1. The app plays multiple sessions of the same chapter in an overlapping sequence. I’m playing Genesis 9 and it’s playing two sessions simultaneously, with one overlapping the other.

    2. The play interface crashes ever so often and has to “relaunch”. The audio keeps playing, but the app says the interface encounters a problem and needs to relaunch. I don’t even know how that works.

    3. I have played the chapters for a particular day 3-4 times and the app still hasn’t marked any of the chapters as played.

    4. The app should be able to continue from the last played point. I paused a chapter, came back to the app after some time and the page seemed to have bookmarked my last played position, only to press play and it started from the beginning of the first chapter for the day. All progress lost and I couldn’t even pick up where I left off. I tried fast-forwarding, but this didn’t work. The app just played an overlapping new session.

    Suggested Improvements:
    1. Let the app give the user the option to play the next day’s chapters automatically, without needing to go back to the app. The option to do this should be hands-free. I could be cooking, in the shower or driving, and wanting to listen nonstop. But, as it is, I have to take a break, go the app and go to the next day’s chapters to press play.

  • Help / Assistance Sysem

Weelll, like most things, the learning curve was at on point pretty steep. So I reached out to Bible Is’s contact / help system. Within 24 hrs I was guided into a position where I could play the Holy Word of God, pause it, close the app and come back to it right where I left off.
Thank you Bible Is helper I know you work in a limited time frame so I’m presuming you have other work or commitments
I also understand that to answer my question may possibly be one of many.
Thank you and God bless you all.

  • Brilliant!

This is such a good app, when listening to the word you pick up themes and concepts because you are listening to multiple chapters in a book. Must-have!
