AMAZING!!!
If you are hesitant in getting this application, please DO NOT HESITATE!! GET IT!! It is so good! I personally am the type of person that still wants to get my word in my system when first waking up.
With me being a college student, I don't always have time in the morning to open my physical bible and read because I have to get ready. Having this app allows me to listen to the word while getting ready! That means I am able to do two things at the same time.
The ONLY suggestion/complaint (which is small lol) that I would make to the developers of the audio dramatic books is to make the voice of God/Jesus more authoratative. I feel like you made his voice sound a little weak. We all know that our lord and savior Jesus Christ has some power behind his voice, a voice of many waters. Great overall
Overall a great app.
Feature request - would be great to have a “catch up” mode for reading plans. That way I can just keep listening eg using the sleep timer for however long I want, instead of having to go and press play for every single day that I’m behind.
App doesn’t handle being closed out of very well- often have to go and restart the whole app.Show lesssamuelmac

Love the timer at night, turns itself off when time is up. Voices easy to listen to. Sometimes won’t load but uninstall and reinstall and updates them no issues. Variety options to choose from. Appreciate the app is free. Some purchased ones were not as good as this oneWhaea20

Great quality app, easy to use. The fact I can download the audio Bible and listen to them as someone who works away without reception is great. Awesome quality audio dialogue, only slight downside is the voice effects they use for God. I like they’ve made it clear that God’s talking with that tone, yet it quite echoey. I absolutely love this app. It adds life to the Bible with the use of character voices. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a checkbox over a chapter when it has been finished. I am completing my Master of Theology so often skip to different books but can never remember where I was up to when I return. Thank you for creating this app. I highly recommend.Show lessKhaliisaar
Love it! Helps when reading is difficult!
This app has helped me SO MUCH! There’s times when it’s difficult to differentiate who is saying what to who. There’s other times when names and places are difficult to read or pronounce in my mind. There’s even other times when lineages of historical accounts are lengthy and hard for me to read all the way through. And plainly, sometimes my focus is just hard to focus (we all have tough days). But letting the audio from this app take over the difficult parts really helps a lot to get through those difficult humps! I highly recommend this app, if anything for at least a backup to one’s own Bible. But also having the Bible on an app means you’ll always have one handy, so there’s no excuse to not having it to read (Because it’s always on your phone. And also, because it can EVEN read the Bible to you!). #AlwaysBeReadyShow less-RobStyle-

For the most part, I really like the app. I only use the KJV and it’s a great way to listen to it audibly. (I’ve prolly listened to the entire KJV Bible with this and have only noticed two reading errors and they weren’t doctrinal, so all in all, it’s great with all of the sound effects.) Most of the characters voices are used for other characters throughout the Old and New Testament. Some of them are REALLY annoyingly bad, (Like the voice of Jacob in Genesis and some of the ones in Proverbs.) but I’m just being picky at that point. One other bad thing. Every now and then when I try to listen to the app, it doesn’t load, it says “oops, there’s an error and cannot play at the moment.” Or something along those lines, and it just won’t play for a while. I sometimes close the app out and reopen it and it’ll work. After all is said and done, I’m MOSTly pleased with it. It’s helped my devotions and given me a different perspective on how things are said with different voices. Thankful to God for it and hope they change the voice of Jacob in Genesis some day, haha. 🙂Show lessenough of the ads!!

I do have two suggestions that may make your experience better. 1) KJV- There is a feature that allows you to switch between the having multiple voices w/ background music to no multiple voices w/background music. Simply tap on the three horizontal lines to the bottom left of the chapter view to go to Settings page. Directly next to Background Music, toggle to disable or enable. 2) Oops error- Not sure if you have tried this, there is a Reset Cache option in My Account (person icon) in the Bible.is app. Would you mind trying this and let me know if it helps? Hello first of all thanks for the effort, the app looks promising, but for the life of me I can’t stop the audio. Both on iPad and iPhone. The pause button simply doesn’t work and sometimes sporadically changes its state (playing/stopped). This is happening in the audio view. When I back out of it, the play/stop bar at the bottom doesn’t always appear, so no way to stop the audio. Pls investigate, would really love for this to work thanksShow lessМay

I love the content of this app but I find it very quirky to use. It takes a long time to open the app even if it has gone to sleep. It is an audio Bible but the playback controls disappear right after you hit play and you need to scroll to get them to reappear. Sometimes they won’t reappear and you have to close and reopen the app which is time consuming. I have downloaded a version in the past which took several days even though I was in WiFi. Then an update of the app came through and the app can no longer find my download. I haven’t downloaded it again because I don’t want it to take days and then just lose it with the next update all the while taking up big chunks of memory. I will still use this app but it is frustrating. And one more item, I am having trouble posting the comment because all the nick names are taken.Show lessZizia aurea
