Very enjoyable
My 3 yr old loves to be read to. The artwork is incredible! My favorite is The Twelve Dancing Princesses.
Ok
It does come up as a free app but as all the other reviewers state you then have to pay 69p for each book, not so good. However my daughter has enjoyed the stories I have purchased so far. I too have turned off the narration as was quite bad!!
App within an app
If you buy this be prepared to buy the books for 69p a hit, YES 69p now and when u have a toddler sad she cant read a book you'll end up buy most of them, however dont like this version of little red riding hood, the woodcutter never scared away the wolf, he KILLED him and out came granny all alive and well! Please stop sugar coating the fiction of yester year and use the REAL story!

I like it
Our 2 year old likes it I wish it hadley choices and a different narrator
4 year old loves this!
I downloaded this when I had no voice as stories are part o our bedtime routine. My son LOVES it!!! My only complaints are that it's advertised as free, but only one book is actually free, AND I would love to see a follow along function for kids who are learning to read to help them start recognizing the words.

Bedtime Stories
Even though the app is free each story is 59p, while they may not be the work of William Shakespeare my daughter loves to sit with me while I read them (the narration is poor so I turn it off). She loves the pictures and because they are short stories there is no problem with her loosing interest. If you are happy to spend a small amount every now and then this is a good little app, if you are looking for free stuff look elseware.

Nice but not entirely free
The app is good but it says that is free when in fact is one book free and buy the rest.
Good story reading, nice illustrations
But not enough free or cheap books. :(
Review
Expensive as you have to pay per book. Narrators are not great.
Nice interface, horrible accent.
Like the interface, prefer to read myself would prefer an English accent rather than American but my son enjoys it when I read to him.
