One of my favorite apps
I use this to keep track of my courses and like the simplicity of the app. I can search my notes which is great for those courses that I have dozens of entries for. Being able to create a PDF is helpful and I don't feel like I have to worry about losing all the things I've written. I appreciate the quick response I received from the developer.
The latest update is great and the optional keyboard keys to skip words are a real time saver.
As for the other review, I haven't noticed any problems.

Simple, elegant - a pleasure to use
This is a great app. It helps to make journaling a pleasure. The designer is also very responsive. Highly recommended
Excellent Productivity Tool - Must have app!!!
Excellent App for keeping all my notes organized - both personal and work related. This is so useful to me, it's the single mostly used application on my iPad.

This app needs to allow more features such as
- Changing the fonts for titles within one page of notes
- same for colors/intalics/bold
- allow for you to scroll through the notes without the picture following the text

Very good journaling app
It can be used for whatever you wish, but I use this app as my journal. These are its best features. 1. Your journal can be password protected 2. You can have multiple journals (or whatever you want the document to be) 3. It looks good and you have some control over how it looks (colors, fonts etc) 4. You can email your journal to yourself or sync it with Google Docs. 5. Entries are automatically date and time stamped. 6. You can add pictures.
My only criticism would be handling the pictures, which hover above the document. You can't place a picture and then type around it. Plus it can be tricky positioning pictures - that is rotating/resizing. Mostly the picture feature is fine though.

Buggy
When I first bought this app over a month ago, I immediately found a bug with placing photos into notes. (When adding a new page and placing a photo in landscape mode, it allows you to drag AND DROP it behind the left Entries listing pane!) Once the photo is there, hidden, you can't manipulate it again.
I emailed about it, got a reply, but it has yet to be fixed. I can't say I trust the app enough to use it regularly at this rate.

very good app!
very functional. hope to see some features in the future updates such as changing font for a specific part of notes and exporting in MS word (PC or Mac) format.

Great but just needs some finishing touches
I think this app is excellent for what it is and it's intended use. I would like to see them add some customization to the way each journal looks, covers, backgrounds, etc. Secondly, the ability to include frames around pictures would enhance their appearance. Finally, the ability to add tags to entries and a possible lookup by tags. This way you can begin grouping specific subjects/relations.

Chapters - notebooks for writing
Chapters is the Journal that I have been using for some time after using Mac Journal for a long time. The nicest thing about Chapters is its simplicity and ease of use. For the money it's way above anything else I've seen on the market. It provides an excellent way to document almost any activity from a Project Report to a daily Journal. I use it to maintain a record of all daily interactions -- meetings, phone calls, sales calls, and much more --- yet keeping all entries organized by date and subject . It also provides the flexibility to keep "follow ups" to any activity.

Brilliant!!
Just purchased this app, and the companion "Chronicle" for the iPhone, in the hope that finally i'll have a diary that I can sync between the two devices...... And I can. Great that it links with DropBox, and really pleased about the photo import ability. Been using MaxJournal, which I really like, but it looks like I'll be changing now as this app offers not just a few things more, but literally More of Everything!
Things I'd like to see in future updates are the ability to sync & share data with Facebook, Twitter etc, and maybe also Flickr/Tumblr et al.
Full review forthcoming when I have used it more extensively for a while, but so far, I like what I see...... Great app and well worth the price.
