Does what it says!
Installed and placed near the speaker on my scanner. Within a few moments acars decodes appeared. A few issues with errors which were resolved with volume control adjustments.

Neat, but needs work for the cost
Like the other reviews have alluded, this app operates like a proof-of-concept. Yes, it decodes, but that's it. There's no organization of data, no filtering, no background running of the app, screen colors are fixed at black on white. It's just simplistic.
Waste of money
Had this app sat at my radio for ages now with a superb reception but this app picked nothing up. Refund would be nice. Don't waste your time.
Perfect.
Excellent App, using it on iPad 2 and works great with just a standard VHF handheld scanner positioned beside the microphone.
To the developer just one suggestion, if you could please update it so that the decoder can run in the background while other apps are being used.
Many Thanks.

Upgrade needed
Needs more features as pause, save and keep on memory what is already decoded.
Acars review
Acars is just a very basic acars decoder. The GUI is just a blank screen with a level bar at the top. It decodes aircraft name, date and time. The program is well over priced considering it's simplicity. For that sort of money you would expect some maps and basic position information. I hope the author will update this software with position information plotted on a map and maybe decode some of the other bits of info transmitted.
Ohh well at least it decodes well even when using the iPhone mic!

It's a nice start....
Having seen Black Cat Systems Multimode, I figured that I'd be getting similar quality in thus app....Well, it's a nice start, but it's pretty clumsy to exit this app when it's running (you press the button and bail out completely). Also wish there more options to save the received ACARS text as well as pause operation, too. The decodes are sometimes garbled even when there is no background noise present, but for the most part can decode ACARS reception decently. Here's to hoping the author adds some more features to this first effort to improve its operation.
