  • Coach function is unusable

I’ve been using the QuickStart part of NRC no problem but I have a fun run coming up so wanted to use the Coach. To cut a long story short the Benchmark part of my program kept crashing. I tried five times and it crashed every time. As the Benchmark is a key part of developing your program I have no choice but to try something else.
I use running to counter stress, NRC has done the opposite. I’d also add that this is the first iOS app I’m abandoning due to unreliability.
I’m giving it two stars as the non Coach part of the app is okay.

  • A great app but I am facing some issues

When I first used this app I was running and stopping every minute or two if I was lucky but I didn’t give up and I kept getting faster and that shaped me to how I run today. My fastest 1 km is now 2’18” and 10 km 33 minutes and that is so amazing and I will keep on improving. There is one issue with me though on the Apple Watch, I have the Nike widget on my watch face and when I am not running it still starts a run even though I didn’t touch anything and I haven’t been very happy with my watch app because when I try to stop a run when I’m finished it will keep tracking it and It won’t stop the run for a minute or two. I am on an old Apple Watch as well so it isn’t sweat proof so can you please try and resolve it for me.

  • Basic functions failed on 1st run with updated app!

I reluctantly held off from the updated app and was using a really old one as I constantly read bad reviews about successive updates.
But as I am about to receive the new Apple Nike watch I had no choice but to update. And what a mistake that was!.
The old app run perfectly with fluid vocal feedback by an American female voice. Floor less integration with my music library and accurate measurements every time.
So why then on an updated app, that is now probably 2-3yrs newer than I previously had. Now has so many basic faults?.
The new British voice over relays back audibly like she’s not quite sure that what she’s saying is true! There are long pauses between for instance between stats. This is so off putting to a point where you stop listening to her. It’s like we have gone back 10 yrs in advancement.
Also if you receive a call it stops the timer and does not start again. And when you do this manual it starts from the beginning again.
It also then mutes the music your listening to to about a third for no reason. So you end up hardly hearing any sound when your on the road.
I have been using the Nike running app since 2006 and have clocked up quite a few miles now. So I really don’t want to use something else. Especially when I’ve just spent over £400 on a dedicated Apple Nike watch.
I really do hope that Nike sort these glitches out soon as this has left me really disappointed with the upgrade.

  • Great for what I need

I've only been using this app for a couple of weeks, but it has been working wonders for me. I am not a vivid runner by any means. I started using this app to track my progress in my weight loss journey. My runs are only a mile and a half each day, for the time being, so I haven't experienced any issues that the other reviews have pointed out concerning crashes. I love the achievement section and how you are able to log miles on the sneakers you are running in. There are only two things that keep me from giving this a 5 star rating. First has to do with the music. I have plenty of music on my iTunes, but I prefer to listen to Pandora. Maybe I haven't fidgeted with the app enough, but I haven't found any way to set Pandora as my music preference. It would be nice to be able to do that. Secondly, I use the timer on my phone to track my time because I time myself running run way. Once that time is up, I turn around and run back. The problem is when my timer goes off, my workout pauses. Again, I haven't fidgeted with the app too much, so I don't know if a workout like that is available. I just don't like that my workout pauses just because my timer that isn't even part of the app goes off. Both of those are small issues that I have adjusted to, but the app would have five stars from me if those issues were not there.

  • Still the best running app, but the old version was better

This is still my favorite running app, by far. The old version of the app was still slightly better for me though. Nike fixed the issue with controlling music & the app from the headphone controls, which was my biggest pet peeve (this worked fine in older versions of the app, but was broken when the app went to version 4. The only remaining issue for me is that the app doesn’t handle music correctly if you are listening to another audio source before a run. I like to listen to audio books & podcasts in the car (I use the audible and downcast apps, not the official apple ones, maybe that’s part of the issue, I don’t know), but even though my music choice for the run is set to an iTunes playlist, it continues to play the audiobook/ podcast I was listening to in the car. The old versions (up to 3.x) handled this correctly, starting the iTunes playlist as soon as the run started. Not a complete deal killer, but it sure would be nice if they fixed that. Aside from that issue, it’s a great app. I’ve been using it since 2006 (when it only worked on the iPod nano, and it still works great for my needs.

  • Nette amélioration

    Bravo!
  • Needs to sync with health data (weight)

My only complaint is that the app does not sync with health data; specifically weight. I have to manually change it whenever I do a weigh-in and sometimes I forget.
  • Great app

Impossible to control if locked screen on iPhone 7 because of the home button!!
  • Run run run!!!

I use it every time I does the jogging!!! Highly recommended!!!
  • I'm very happy with it
