A Lovely Program

I love this app! Though there are a few reasonably contemporary religious songs included in this program, for the most part, what is here is the sheet music for dozens of the oldest and most loved evangelical hymns that millions have known for years along with either piano, organ, or both recordings of each piece. One can quibble that the audio portion is hardly outstanding and certainly there were times when I would have loved to sing along with others rather than just hearing the tune but this is an app which any Christian churchgoer, at least any who loves the old songs, will, like me, turn on again and again.

Very poor - Worst app I have bought

This is the first app I have really regretted buying. Far and beyond the worst app I have ever seen.

What are the problems?
- What is displayed are low-quality scans of the sheet music
- You can't zoom in on the music so you can't read it on the iphone (you can use the three-finger zoom available for the visually impaired, but moving around in that mode is extremely difficult)
- You can't even choose to get lyrics alone (I thought this might help if I know the tunesbut not the words)
- The sound quality is dreadful
- There are obscure + and - icons that seem impossible to figure out
- It took ages to start, just showing 'black' initially.
- No organization of hymns, e.g. so you can look at just the Christmas ones

A hymnal on my iPad

I bought this to study sight singing and 4-part piano playing, and what I've found is a simple, clean interface, well-transcribed songs, and good contrast and legibility of notes and words. I like the feature of being able to hear the hymns, although I'd like to change the voice. More hymns as a downloadable upgrade would be welcome also! Thanks.

Gray sheet music?

The collection is good and the MIDI training is great, but why is the sheet music on this weird dark gray paper? Why not white paper? Or give us the option to switch the colors.

It would also be super awesome if we could split out the vocal lines in the training. For example, just hearing the bass or alto line.

But still, great app for the price.
