  • I LOVE CVS!!!

I switched from WalFart pharmacy because they were so rude. I have since gotten happier and happier with CVS! You can’t beat the deals and the rewards and they are always so pleasant to deal with, even when they are slammed or backed up or I have an issue with medication or the self checkout. The app is so easy to use and understand. I find myself playing with all the features for way too long! Thanks CVS in Front Royal, VA! You’re doing great!

Edit: Front Royal CVS on John Marshall Hwy is amazing! However, that staff at CVS inside Front Royal Target are rude and not interested in being helpful. They have provided me with the worst customer service imaginable. The pharmacist/pharmacy manager is extremely immature. I am not going to change my review because of the outstanding staff at my favorite CVS and because I find the app so helpful. I also don’t mind saving money with the deals and rewards, don’t mind it at all ;) Please CVS, do something about that staff at the CVS nobody wants to visit.

  • App & operations need some improvement

While generally helpful at tracking prescription medications, the app & stores need to improve several issues. First, all prescriptions from all stores need to be present on the app and not just one store. I have had multiple problems with one store not having a prescription in stock, and the app should automatically check other nearby stores to see which store would have the medication in stock and allow for pick-up from the store with the medication in stock. Better yet would be for the medication to be quickly delivered from one store’s stock to another store which does not have the needed medication in stock. The CVS app should do these things automatically as good customer service. As of now the app also does not indicate when an out-of-stock Rx will be in stock at the listed store or when the med will be ready for pickup. The app is a good start but needs to keep us from having to call a store to find out what’s going on with our prescriptions we need to pick up very soon. Calling the store pharmacy is a classic example of customer no-service. I waited an hour and 41 minutes recently to find out how long it would take the pharmacy to answer my call. Ridiculous.

  • Still have to call to have prescriptions never filled moved to inactive status

I love this app and being able to look up my prescriptions and if I have refills and check on past prescriptions etc. recently I was able to get medications no longer used changed to inactive put on my profile for medications. But there were some meds still on there that were never filled that were still listed. I had to contact CVS to get those medications moved to inactive status. These meds were never filled. I do have to stay on top of this since there have been times where my doctor has called in scripts that are not covered by my insurance or are not available at cvs to be filled such as a cough medicine I used to get there for years when I get diagnosed with bronchitis that they suddenly told me they could no longer are allowed to get into stock and fill. I was told my doctor would have to call in something else. Yet the prescription they couldn’t fill or that wasn’t covered was still listed on my profile. I had to call to call to have them move it to inactive status. I was told they couldn’t be removed from my profile even though they never were filled because they were called in by a doctor.

  • Poor functionality and not in sync with the store

This is getting ridiculous. The app tells me things are available for refills, I fill them, I get a confirmation email, and the next day they’re not filled and have been taken off the refill list. The guy in the store said they can’t refill until a certain date, but that date is not the same as it says on the app. It’s a month different! I just got a text saying a script is ready, and on the app there is no record of it being filled. If a script isn’t filled because of insurance or something, no one tells me. It says “pending” or something like that until finally I’m out of meds and call and ask what the problem is and then they say, “okay, we’ll fill it now, there’s no issue.” With no explanation of why it wasn’t filled a week ago. And this forces me to call and talk to a pharmacist at least twice a month, and then the phone recording is so long I have to press number prompts for a full 2 mins and 30 seconds before I can even ask my question. PLUS the app constantly offers delivery and suggests it and sends me texts about it. Then every time I actually click on it, it says my store doesn’t offer delivery. It’s totally ridiculous and I’m looking for a more consistent pharmacy.

  • Convenient app for my favorite store

The CVS app has some good features. It displays almost all of the items that I want to search as well as tells me which stores has the item available and what not. However, there are times there was some mistakes as I went to the store only to find out the product I want was not there even it said the item was in stock from the app. I hope this feature can be improve to reflect better item availability at different stores. Back to the positive side, the app gives good approximate of price for the item with Extrabucks rewards included and additional discounts at that time period. I recently find out there were some considerable inconsistencies between the price online and the actual price in store. I wish this app can be improved to the point that it can show the actual price for a specific item at a specific store location. Overall, I like the CVS app so far and I look forward to more improvements for better shopping experiences in the future.

  • CVS IS TERRIBLE.

This app is terrible and so is cvs. I have picked up prescriptions at 7:30am and then around 10:30, I would receive a phone call with an annoying recording letting me know my prescription is ready for pick up. I was signed up for text notifications but cvs changed that. The pharmacy is very understaffed and when I try to get someone on the phone it is next to impossible. Calling the pharmacy and listening to THE MOST ANNOYING AND USELESS phone prompter for 10+ minutes is the most annoying thing in the world, and half of the time it hangs up on me and I have to call again and start over. It’s quicker for me to drive to cvs and talk to someone than it is to call and get someone on the phone. They always seem to put the slowest employees at the pick up window and when that happens there is a line of cars around the building ~ I have waited 30 minutes in line on several occasions. Cvs is all about corporate numbers on paper and NOT DOING WHAT IS BEST FOR THE CUSTOMERS…. There has to be a happy medium, but unfortunately the IDIOTS at corporate have no clue what is going on in the real world. A few years ago the pharmacy was great; but now it seems like the employees have no clue what they’re doing and there aren’t enough of them.

  • Why can’t I see my insurance information on file?

This is extremely frustrating. I had an issue deactivating old insurance when I switched jobs, and even though I stood in line at CVS numerous times to ask them to remove the old insurance from my profile, it was never removed. So about 3/4 of my prescriptions were filled through the wrong insurance instead of my new insurance - I had to pay the old insurance company back for those medicines. When a prescription is run through the wrong insurance, it takes the CVS pharmacy team 20 minutes or more to just run it through the new insurance stored in my profile. It was absurd. Every time i had a prescription filled per my app, I couldnt tell which insurance they ran it through. So I’d have to call the store and wait on hold for a half hour, or I had to go in person, wait in line, and then if it was the wrong insurance, wait in the store for 20 minutes for them to fix if or come back later. PUT INSURANCE INFO (even just the company’s name!!) ON OUR PROFILES IN THE APP. It’s 2022 for god’s sake. Then the pharmacy team would get one less call which I guarantee they would love because every store is so understaffed.

  • Live Store Inventory and pricing

Comment on Pharmacy…. It sure would be great to receive a text message if your prescription may be delayed or on back order or the price has changed. It sure would be of great value to be able to access live “your store” inventory and pricing to create a true shopping list with actual true off the shelf pricing. Also please bring back more BOGO (buy-one-get-one-free) rather than buy 3 and get one free or save $1 etc. when you purchase 5 of the same item. Also remove limits on quantity purchased. And please for diabetics please create a designated section for Sugar-Free or No-Sugar-Added Items and increase inventory especially diet and caffeine-free soft drinks. And please increase all store inventory it is very frustrating when the sale says buy 2 and get one free and there is only one on the self. Please lower pricing on clearance items. One last note… please add a clinic to the Kings Highway Fort Pierce, FL store.

On a positive note, the Port Saint Lucie, Saint Lucie West Store is beautiful! So clean and well organized and the clinic is a big plus! It was so nice I didn’t even think I was in a CVS. Very impressed!

  • Accountability

I am disgusted that no one takes accountability for errors that result from using the CVS app. When I have an issue with the app it should be routed through one singular location and others brought in an an as needed basis. Stop using the app as an excuse to pass the buck, I am so frustrated by contacting 1-800 … or this feedback and being told I need to contact the store, only to contact the store and have them indicate that I need to call the 1-800 number for help. Who is accountable for the app? Who decides on the content for the app? If you said corporate then corporate needs to step up and take accountability. For example, I am on two doses of the same medication and corporate suggested that I contact the store when I repeatedly had trouble filling one dose. Turns out it IS solely a corporate issue, it is apparently meant to flush out persons taking two doses of the same medication unknowingly. I do so knowingly and really there should be a place for me to acknowledge and override the system not allowing me to fill both doses, as first I take the doses at different times of the day and second there is no equivalent single dose if that were an option. You try to build in these convenience and safety features, but also build in inconvenience and frustration for others!
