  • useless for prescriptions

this app is so slow and is constantly covering up what I’m trying to see with the giant loading pop-up. I use the pharmacy section primarily and it is confusing and disorganized. “All prescriptions” does not display all prescriptions or the ones that are ready for pickup. I don’t understand why “schedule vaccine” is in the prescription management section. When you click “Recent Orders” there’s no clear visual distinguishment between prescriptions that have been picked up and that are ready for pick up, and you can’t click on any orders for more details. It used to be possible to switch prescriptions to delivery through the app once they were ready but now apparently I have to call the pharmacy which is a waste of time and energy. Even when I have delivery turned on, the app sends my prescriptions to the pharmacy as if they were for pick up. There’s no option for push notifications or text messages when my prescriptions need a refill soon. Prescriptions called in from a doctor aren’t always automatically synced with my account. I am so frustrated with this app and find it virtually unusable for prescription management.

  • Good Sales/Coupons/Discounts… But

CVS offers excellent savings, but it is necessary to work for them. Managing to get the best price takes effort. Many coupons require a minimum amount to be spent on a group of items. That can be difficult because items are often out of stock at one store or another. After asking several times I still don’t know if the savings work when items are purchased at different stores. (I haven’t found a detailed coupon/sale policy on line or in the store.) Also, the mobile site may say something is in stock at a particular store, but it may not be there when you arrive. To further complicate, there are many, many stores. Each store has its own weekly sales flyer, and doesn’t carry everything.
The price on the mobile site is not the same as the price at a store- I have found differences of as much as $5.00! Finally, it is very important to check the receipt for accuracy. If one takes the time to consider each factor, one can save a significant amount!

  • App has been horrible lately

My prescriptions don’t all show up on app. Refill process rarely works and text messages aren’t accurate. One pharmacist especially questions my prescriptions and the use of them. Missing medications and condescending pharmacist at my location. Inaccurate information given by pharmacist on quantities dispensed and / or when. (I keep proof) Have to order refills a few days ahead of time because 2 of my medications you are almost always out of. Then pharmacist/ app tells me it’s to early to refill. Then comes the lecture from the pharmacist about what I’m taking. I’m very closely monitored by GP, psychiatrist and therapists ans they all talk. I’m tired of app not working right and pharmacist treating me like if I was a drug addict. I’m 53 and just spent a week in the hospital for liver damage caused by Tylenol taken over a few days while I had the flu. I’m calling tomorrow to find out where the missing one time prescription went to. I’m still in strong pain and need it filled by Saturday and if I get condescending responses to missing prescription or getting refills, I will be switching pharmacies immediately. Fix your app and tell your pharmacist (one in particular) she needs a refresher course on common courtesy and empathy. I wish I didn’t have to take any meds but I do. The least they could do is fo be kind and either fix the app or go back to the old ways of doing things.

  • App is great, but needs an adjustment…

When I click on the “rewards & deals” option and then select “on card” at the top, I can see all of the coupons/savings I’ve added to my CVS card‼️However, they are scattered and unorganized in the list under that section. This is very confusing when utilizing the app while shopping in the store. For example, I have approximately 6 coupons for household items in the “on card” section of the app. 🔍 Some of those coupons are near the top of the list. The rest are in the middle, or at the bottom. Sometimes I forget that I have deals/coupons and some get overlooked when shopping because I forget there are more coupons scattered in the list. 📌 Please group deals by category in the “on card” section so that when we’re scrolling through, we don’t have to go on a scavenger hunt to find similar items. It makes for an easier shopping experience so that consumers can continue to save money. Isn’t this and “convenience” one of the major reasons of having the CVS app? Thank you.

  • CVS the thorn in my side!

I was told when I signed up to be a member. I would get a free gift each month,I haven’t. I was also told there would be a birthday package. I didn’t receive one. I didn’t receive anything until I called to find out what was going on because before I became a member I always got nail polish. They finally gave me $3. I see on Facebook groups and TikTok people are always getting text for free stuff. I have placed an order. I never received it plus I never got my money and my extra bucks back. When I called to find out what was going on. I was informed that my order had been canceled and I had gotten most of my merchandise. Both were lies I did not cancel anything and I didn’t not receive my merchandise. I asked when the order was supposed to have been canceled and the woman told me back in September. I placed the order on October 13 or 14. I will not be signing up for this joke. The whole company has done nothing but lie and take my money. SO NO I AM NOT HAPPY WITH CVS

  • Functional but needs improvement

The app works well in general but it is slow to load, and the server seems to be down often. Adding the ability to include RX’s for family members exists but is clunky, and requires you to actually fill RX for that person BEFORE you can use the app for that person for anything related to their RX. If a doctor electronically sends a RX over electronically for a 30 day supply with 2 refills for a RX you have had filled at CVS in the past from the same doctor but your prior RX’s have all been filled (3 months worth have been filled) so your doctor sends over the new set of 3 months but does so PRIOR to you picking up #3 of 3 from the prior set then the app does NOT allow you to fill from the app. You are REQUIRED to call the pharmacy to get them to initiate the 1st of the three from this next set of RX’s. Hardly convenient. Especially when you get the more often than not ‘miserable, why are you bothering me because you know as a pharmacist I’m busy and prefer to not actually have to talk to people attitude’ even though you are calling because the app doesn’t allow this and requires you to call the pharmacist to initiate the round of RX’s. How about some updates and improvements to functionality offered?

  • Poor quality between app and actual store

Many times when I use the app to fill my prescriptions, I get the non-stop annoying daily voicemails reminding me to pick up my prescriptions. So much that I actually block the number. I ordered my refills on the app and when I get to the store they say they don’t have it. Despite my numerous daily robo calls that I have prescriptions are ready for pick up. Every time the store says “we are having problems with our app”. So that actually negates the purpose of the app! I ordered 3 refills, they had 1 refilled and another auto filled, when it was just filled last month for quantity 90. So why if it’s an auto refill would they refill a prescription that was just filled last month for 90 pills! I have tried to opt out of my phone number calling me .. harassing me I should say. You app needs a lot of work. Your incessant calls need to stop. Unfortunately I cannot change to another pharmacy because CVS Is the one authorized primarily by my insurance. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and a headache when I have to get my prescriptions refilled because there is always something wrong between the app and the store. So I guess I will just keep blocking your number for the robo calls

  • System or employees delete all personal information

I’m in my 50s with some major medical issues going on in my health so the last thing I need is incompetent employees and apps randomly deleting my address so my meds can’t get mailed to me and then employees hanging up on me because they don’t know how to pick up a caller they put on hold for 12 minutes, only 2 minutes of that time was actually on hold. Maybe since my generation was so intelligent as to create Beavus and Butthead we should be so kind as to now create a finishing school that is required to teach basic real world common knowledge such as counting change, how to use a business phone and use some decorum of manors while on that business phone. But whatever, it’s your app so It’s perfect and that means I’m wrong. Also, your employees would never talk rude or hang up on people so I’m lying through my teeth. Just remember…you asked for my review so I gave it to you based off a Fayetteville NC store location and having to deal with the app because of them. Never knew the extent of how bad the app was when when I dealt with the Greenville Ohio store. Maybe you should use that store as a training store for others. Efficient, polite and helpful in many ways

  • Pull-your-hair-out frustrating

If you open the app and navigate to your prescriptions and click the link inviting you to refill…it will probably not work. If it does, this will be the least frustrating thing you will have accomplished in trying to use this app. Click the option for home delivery….not possible. Why? Who knows: not me, and not CVS, because if they knew they’d certainly tell me. See the link to add other items to your cart? Click it…ah, doesn’t work if you’re in the pharmacy section of the app. Close the app and restart and add items to your cart, save, navigate to pharmacy…ah, not possible, you have to start the app, open the menu and choose pharmacy first thing if you want to refill a prescription. If you are able to somehow refill a prescription and select the option to prepay, upon completing the transaction you will wait to get a notification from the pharmacy advising that your prescription is ready. Once notified, you will go to the pharmacy and it will not be ready. You will wait. Once you finally do receive your prescription, you will be enrolled in an automatic prescription refilling scheme against your will, which will generate a text message in 30 days notifying you that your refill is ready. And it will not be. Vicious cycle. IN. SANE.

  • CVS on Neptune Avenue must get an overhaul NOW

The pharmacy is located in a new complex and is a nice size store. It is usually not well stocked and not tidy. The worst is the customer service both in store and even worse over the phone. In the store after waiting on long long lines they send you from one side of the store to wait on another line. The horrendous and unsafe practice for a pharmacy not to pick up the phone lines and/or disconnecting the caller has spiraled out of hand!! One can call for days in a row (I experienced this multiple times and most recently over a period of 4 days) and the phone doesn’t get answered. Rings and rings and rings and after 20-30 minutes the system disconnects you. I was trying to arrange for my medication to be delivered as I’m on my own and couldn’t get to the pharmacy. To no avail. 4 days later I hit the prompt for “doctors.” The individual who answered the phone was so rude. I asked if there is something wrong w the phone lines as I’m calling all week. She replied “We are very busy here, get to your point.” Not unusual to get attitude from the CVS Neptune ave staff. Doctors offices don’t have much better experience. They don’t take their calls but keep sending automated messages via the cvs system and then state that the doctors office just isn’t responding. My neighbors and I have experienced this several times. Some neighbors won’t use this pharmacy anymore and I’m close to doing the same. Big box store that needs a major shakeup!!
