Worst of all - the moronic ads they play every time the app opens means you miss the first 30 seconds of the content you’re actually trying to listen to (I’ve news). There is no auto adjustment and therefore the volume buttons are counter intuitive. Take an earbud out or hit pause; another overlayed ad before the stream starts again. Stream drops out randomly (nothing to do with the connection)…. Another ad Also, how is it that SEN and the ABC can make an app that starts the stream instantly when you hit play, but 3AW needs 5-10 seconds? Sometimes longer. ### 1/5 — Delete App Immediately *2026-03-07, version 25.10.11* Delete this APP IMMEDIATELY. You thought you could trust 3AW….think again. Your personal data is being shared to 210 3rd party partners regardless to consent. They say they value your privacy NOT TRUE check their privacy policy and see it for yourself. Those 210 partners can then share and use your data however they like. This is a serious concern and 3AW cannot guarantee privacy of your personal data. Impossible keeps wanting me to rejoin Very frustrated Cannot get radio quickly on my iPads ### 5/5 — Far too many ads! *2023-10-01* It is annoying as sometimes I can play on my poker app while listening, other times it’ll stop playing and I have to listen to all of the ads again before it takes me back to the radio! Sometimes the app stops playing if I get a text and I have to listen to all of the ads again. Recently the app always stops if o check out Facebook. It makes me listen to podcasts more and 3AW less. Between this app and DeeDee going, 3AW is becoming less and less enticing. ### 5/5 — 3AW over the internet *2021-06-30* The previous App worked much much better, this one is painfully slow to kick off, requires too many button pushes to get it to work and having an Add on it at the starts has stopped me using it as much as I use to. Every time it cuts out, and I need to RE-boot it, I get another extremely annoying add comes on, hence, I’ve become gun-shy of listening to it again till I forget I’m going to get another annoying add before I can hear what Neil & Tom have to say. Thank you. ### 4/5 — Advertising *2023-10-31* Far to many adverts run n rotation over and over. Lead in ad for the beginning of the app intro is way too long. Pet hate of mine is Rus Howcroft and his voice. So difficult to listen to and grates all the time. Also after several years he still cannot do any serious trying of advertising read. For someone who boasts about his advertising expertise he is absolutely hopeless. Yes I was in advertising for nearly 30 years both in the Uk and Australia so I am speaking from a knowledge position. ### 4/5 — 3AW *2023-10-28* To many adds. Not enough Simon. Since he said he wasn’t interested in overnights, he’s hardly been used. Instead we have to put up with grubby. Not good enough. Regarding ads. Apart from being too many, it would be helpful if they could say who they are at the end of the ad. I tend to block out when they are on, but occasionally I hear something, think, that could be of use, but it finishes without saying who they are, a waste of time and space. Otherwise wouldn’t listen to anyone else. Oh apart from the Felgate woman. So boring. It’s the only time the radios go off. ### 4/5 — 3AW Melbourne Review *2023-08-02* When logging on iPhone app on 3AW listening to Eddie Mguire about Lexus I find very annoying. I don’t mind adds but at times I log on at news time and miss part of the news in the process. Have listened to 3AW all my life. I find your station does not do news bulletins properly at times and cuts part of the news bulletin off. Love listening to breakfast radio weekdays between 5.30 am through to 8.30 am. Having more prizes or competitions would be a great insentive to listen. As a young person injured at work and living on a disability support pension I would like to speak to someone about challenges faced and lack of compensation made available and intervention orders handed down on people in Victoria. I would love to be kept anonymous and find your station to be my favourite station overall. Normally I would rate your station full stars. Don’t feel comfortable calling as I could be identified. Having a anonymous comments section on your app in regards to important issues to follow in the community would appeal to me as a listener and random prizes for your contribution would be fantastic. Thanks for your time and giving me the chance to voice my opinion. ### 4/5 — Long time listener *2023-02-17* I love 3AW and have it on all the time. All the presenters are fantastic, Ross is amazing! However I hate the very annoying, unwelcome ads that occur when you log in to the app or after it resumes after it has dropped out. By the time the ad is finished I have missed the conversation that was happening. So frustrating! I never listen to those ads and always turn the volume to zero until they are done as I’m sure many others do. ### 4/5 — Best radio station with one of the worst Apps *2022-09-18* As many others have said, the app drops out regularly then starts up with the same old annoying voice over ads. Also the news articles automatically play videos without choosing to, which again spoils the radio content your listening to. Furthermore, the articles need to be “proof read” before posting as the spelling and grammar is just terrible. Not very professional for a number 1 media association.
