### 4/5 — Great app but one bug

*2022-04-26, version 2.1.56*

I love this app a lot and recently I’ve found a bug the bug doesn’t allow you to move the map around instead all it does is bug out and disappear when you try to move

Other than that pretty good.

### 4/5 — It’s great but..

*2021-08-26, version 2.1.56*

It’s an amazing app I love it so far the only issue is when trying to connect it via adapter or through airplay it crashes the app if they could be fixed thatd be amazing

### 3/5 — Actually still great, but needs to fix google

*2020-10-10, version 2.1.56*

Hey developers could you please fix the connections to google accounts? I would like to play with friends using this board but it doesn’t work

### 4/5 — Good; But updates would ice the cake

*2020-03-26, version 2.1.56*

Condition rings, like being able to change the color of the base, of the miniatures, to indicate stuff like paralysis, poisoning, charming, and other things like that would be phenomenal.

Flat pieces, without that circular base, that indicate changes in terrain in the middle of an encounter (dead bodies, oil, acid, flames, pits, etc.), would be amazing as well.

Hopefully you read my review and are still making updates, appreciate it!

### 4/5 — Can’t log in

*2020-01-19, version 2.1.56*

I can’t log in because it uses Google+ which is no longer a thing. Other than that, it is quite useful. Please add another way to log in.

### 4/5 — To bad no longer supported

*2020-01-06, version 2.1.56*

Great app but no update in 4 years. And I can't register to share maps. I have not tested in game yet but. I think I will simply screen shot everything

### 3/5 — Google + Doesn’t Exist Anymore

*2019-08-22, version 2.1.56*

Some functionality of the app requires a sign in to Google+. Obviously this is impossible in 2019. Since the last update was several years ago, I can only assume this app has been abandoned and will not be patched to replace Google+ with an existing account service. Visually looks fantastic, but if maps can’t be shared with other players... It’s basically worthless.

### 4/5 — Very good, but needs important update!

*2019-07-23, version 2.1.56*

This is an excellent app... very simple concept: it shows a beautiful graphic layout of your dungeon/wilderness scene and puts miniatures on it that are easily moved about. A great way to show your group the floor plan and monsters in place of a battlemat. At one time supported remote sharing through a Google+ account. The app hasn’t been updated since shutdown of that service so any attempts to use it result in a crash. Still, this is a great legacy product if you avoid network use. Much better at its main function than roll20, it’s only competitor.

### 4/5 — Love it & like it

*2019-04-30, version 2.1.56*

Really like this app and the way it lets you create the map. Only issue is that I can’t cast to anything but Apple TV. My house is full of ChromeCasts and Fire Sticks but can’t get the things to work with this app. Works great for monitoring and watching from the DM side, but with screen mirroring to get it to cast to the ChromeCast it takes too long. The app is great and works very smoothly. Only feature I want is ChromeCast support.

### 3/5 — Failure to play with others

*2019-04-25, version 2.1.56*

Idk if it’s just me but every time I try to log in with google so that I can play with others it says there’s an error and it can’t get my account. As for the rest of the app, it’s decent I guess I can’t help but feel a little underwhelmed though.

### 4/5 — Great until the crashing

*2019-01-30, version 2.1.56*

I've been using this app since 2017, and it's been a dream come true! I can import anything as a map or miniature and it's rendered beautifully! I can even adapt the grid size to match scanned maps with grids. Just recently it stopped working when I would open a saved map. That's wrecked it until the bug gets fixed. I love using this as a dm, so it's hard to go on without it. Hope they fix this soon.

### 3/5 — Potential but....

*2019-01-24, version 2.1.56*

Can’t log in to google account. Noticed no updates in 3 years. Is this app dead?

Over all I like the setup on the app. Easy to add maps and creat the scene. Just would like to be able get on with friends to use it right.

### 4/5 — Shows a lot of promise, but major functions don’t seem to be working properly.

*2019-01-04, version 2.1.56*

I love this app, it works great on the iPad, but they really need to fix the Google+ functionality because I can’t log in at all. I’m rating it a 4 because I like it but it really feels more like a 3 because of that broken login.

### 3/5 — Good at what it does but no sign in

*2018-11-11, version 2.1.56*

You can't sign in over Google, so you can't connect mobiles and desktop.

### 4/5 — Missing One Thing

*2018-07-19, version 2.1.56*

This is pretty much perfect. The only thing missing is the ability to roll dice.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Needs Update or fix

*2022-04-30, version 2.1.56*

This is an old app and needs to be fixed or updated. Although it seems fun, you can’t sign into google to connect with your party. The developers should take this down or correct their mistake to stop wasting peoples time in downloading it.

### 1/5 — Broken, app is dead

*2020-06-08, version 2.1.56*

Cannot play with others, requires Google+ to log in and always fails, and has done so for about 2 years (no app updates for 4 years). Do not buy. It’s a shame because it really was a great app when it worked, and I don’t know of anything else like it on iOS. Closest thing now is EncounterPlus which can do a lot more, but it’s also much more complicated to use. This had some nice little features, but it’s more like a first impression of a useful app than a complete app.

If they ever do work on it again, it needs a few things to make it more useful:
- Easier to import images and adjust them (EncounterPlus does this fantastically well - tapping on the name of a creature searches for it on google images then you just drag the image onto the creature in the app and it auto-imports it)
- A simple toggle or hold button for fog of war removal
- allow drawing in the map for spell FX, etc.
- Easier/more intuitive grid alignment (again, something EncounterPlus does better)
- allow import of “decals”: images that lay flat on the board always (for AOE spell fx templates) and can be resized or made transparent.
- Subfolders, tags or categories for organizing assets
- Fix multiplayer to work again

If it had all those things, it would be amazing and I’d pay at least $20 for it.

### 1/5 — No longer updated

*2019-08-21, version 2.1.56*

The idea is sound, but it seems no more development is being put into this. With google+ shut down, this app is really not useful. Thanks anyways.

### 1/5 — Sharing capabilities disabled

*2019-05-08, version 2.1.56*

This app is amazing, but it can no longer be shared with others since Google+ is down. Please update this app to make it shareable online again! I’d love to use this tool and be a paying subscriber!

### 1/5 — Good app, no shared viewing

*2018-08-12, version 2.1.56*

The app is an awesome idea. It works almost perfectly and has no annoying adds. But the main idea behind it is that the main user can host a map and share it so others can view it on their devices. You can’t share maps or connect with others. Sadly the app is almost perfect but if you want to be a dungeon master letting their players view the map with you, plan on passing your device around.

### 1/5 — Google+ broken

*2018-07-26, version 2.1.56*

It won’t let me sign in and play with friends. A error screen keeps popping up so now all I have is a shell of a app that I can only look at but never play. Apparently you’ve had this problem for a while but have failed to fix it. I’m guessing you’ve abandoned this game and now you’re just sitting here getting paid by apple for the people who download it.

### 1/5 — The absolute worst

*2018-02-04, version 2.1.56*

We paid for both he app subscription and online and both times they shafted is the site goes down they say nothing DO NOT. Get the worthless app or pay any money to these thief’s they’ll take the money and run

### 1/5 — Abandon ware

*2017-11-17, version 2.1.56*

Sad. So much potential but without basic features like being able to delete maps, easily move minis etc., this app has severe limitations. It appears that no updates have happened in years so it’s safe to say this app has been abandoned.

### 1/5 — Subscription Based Garbage

*2015-12-15, version 2.1.56*

Imagine having to pay $1 a month to use the map in your house for your D&D sessions. This app has the audacity to charge you .99¢ a month to host and join your friends to play dungeon and dragons on their poorly contstructed app. If you are looking for a good hosting platform for your D&D campaign, use Roll20. Not only is it free, but it has more features and is generally a better deal than this ridiculous app.

### 2/5 — Update needed!!!

*2019-04-29, version 2.1.56*

Why?!?
No way to log in on google
Maps in always fog of war when loaded
Save function s for maps discovered.

### 5/5 — Perfect for mobile combat

*2022-04-04, version 2.1.56*

Love this app! So easy to use, great for combat maps on my phone. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Way awesome!!!

*2020-12-19, version 2.1.56*

This virtual tabletop is so awesome and I like the fact that you can make your own rpg game and unleash your creativity. Way to go and keep up the great work

### 5/5 — I hope you see this

*2019-08-02, version 2.1.56*

Hello! My name is Liz and I’ve absolutely loved playing D&D with my friends and siblings ever since I first started playing the game! Recently I’ve made a bunch of friends online that are unable to play D&D with people in person because they don’t have many friends in their non online life. I’ve been wanting to include these people in playing this incredible, intense, dice rolling, tabletop game but I’m not able to because they live so far away. This app is a incredible concept that would solve my problem, unfortunately google+ has been discontinued which has prevented me from playing with my online friends. I understand you have heard this enough but please, PLEASE find a way to have multiplayer games. When playing around with the sets and miniatures I absolutely fell in love with it, instantly my mind started racing and I couldn’t stop thinking about all of the campaigns I could do now. I’d love to use your app to create campaigns, please find a way to make multiplayer available.

### 5/5 — Simple and easy

*2018-12-22, version 2.1.56*

Very simple to learn and use, and that’s why I love it. Googled the map from my campaign, imported it into the app, and my game was up and running in no time. Projected my iPhone onto my Apple TV, and it was great. If I’m allowed a wishlist :p Would love the ability to mark the map (for area of effects, or just random markers/notes), mark miniatures with certain colors (for effects/conditions), and maybe optional stats (like health).

### 5/5 — HEY I love this app But I have an idea

*2018-08-28, version 2.1.56*

I use a lot of my own miniatures, and it gets really in organized , could you add folders ? It would help out a lot! Anyway this is my favorite app

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2018-06-27, version 2.1.56*

Our group has been trying to use digital maps for the longest time. We are all Apple users and have not been able to find anything. I stumbled across this last night and it will change our DND life forever. I cannot believe this is free. I would happily pay for this. The map import function is amazing. The UI is simple to use. Being able to import pictures to use as mob and pc is sweet. 5/5. We are yawing this on an iPad Pro with an Apple TV.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2018-03-06, version 2.1.56*

Most easy to figure out RPG map app I’ve ever seen. Make a Windows version!!

### 5/5 — WOW!

*2018-02-25, version 2.1.56*

There’s a bit of a learning curve set tap the (?) button to learn everything. But it is really great.

### 5/5 — Perfect App for Classic Tabletop RPGs!

*2017-11-23, version 2.1.56*

This is an easy to use, easy to mod, tabletop for classic pen & paper RPG games. Our gaming group has been playing the Dragon Age RPG & Freeport using Fantasy AGE by Green Ronin publishing and a MASS Effect FATE RPG game - all classic pen & paper games without minis and maps - and this app is perfect when you absolutely need a visualization. There are plenty of D&D / Pathfinder minis and maps included, and you can easily import your own images of maps and characters for use on the map. You can scroll from 2D to 3D to get a sense of scale easy enough, which adds drama when you see how big a Bugbear or Darkspawn Ogre really is! This is the real deal. Recommended. A+

### 5/5 — Perfect for any pen & paper RPG

*2016-08-23, version 2.1.56*

D&D, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, ANYTHING. This app + air play to an Apple TV and you may never have to buy wet erase markers again.
