Some of them are so frustrated that they themselves cheat now. Don’t waist your time! Update 5/8 Three… yes three of my top level 5 planes totally maxed out were just killed by one level 4 plane. I am not the best player but this is proof this game is full of cheats! The developers have been notified numerous times by myself as well as other player and they will not fix the known problem! ITS FUN! Takes some different techniques to win matches, and leveling up a plane takes a long time (but is rewarding). Wish the developers would allow Squads to go head-to-head (instead of using discord and both team leads pressing start at the same time and hoping to match against each other). The graphics are great, plane control is fine. It’ll never be War Wings (RIP), but it has a lot of potential and we’ve brought over a lot of squadrons from War Wings to battle. *i don’t think the hot shots that have been playing only this game knew what to expect when us “war wingers” came over and started dominating them. LOL! ### 4/5 — Good and outright fun game *2020-06-22, version 5.2.0* As a person who’s been into planes for many years, I fell in love with this game. Though the plane selection is quite nice, many are(and most of them are ONLY accessible from lucky chests) locked behind chests. In addition, I’ve found out that both Flanker fighters(R-94 Blades AND the FA-S37 Overkill) are BOTH diamond priced. It would be nice to make the FA-S37 gold(primary game currency) priced, as only ONE flanker variant should be gold priced. In addition, I would LOVE to see an even more diverse selection of fighter planes to purchase with gold(preferably some Flanker variants.) Just wish most of the chest planes would turn into primary currency priced planes. Other than that, I really enjoy this game and it is pretty darn good. ### 4/5 — I mean it’s great and all but… *2020-06-07, version 5.2.0* You see I would give this a five star rating, but sometimes this game makes me question its logic. One thing, why do you have a limit on how much gold you can get??? That makes literally no sense, you have hard work put into a mission, but this game decides to say “Mmmm no, you’ve reached your limit on receiving gold on a mission, even though you fought hard.” Am I the only one who thinks that is stupid? Don’t get me wrong I love it (even though sometimes I can get mad at it) but there is some things that is very questionable. I love the game but it feels like it doesn’t love me back. I would recommend you get this, and I suggest you do, but be mindful of certain “questionable” things, this game has a lot of them. ### 4/5 — Please fix mission game mode *2020-03-31, version 5.2.0* This is a great game and I have been playing it as long as I can remember but the only thing I have trouble with is the mission game mode. In the game mode you fight to bomb ships but a problem I always find is that the ships are WAY too op. They seem to have infinite missles and no cool down. It’s really hard to focus when there’s thirty missles coming at me from every direction and unlike planes they have no cool down so it’s constant misslespam. It’s hard enough with a ton of enemy planes following me and shooting me all the time. This makes the game mode almost impossible even with high level planes. If you could put something like a thirty second cool down for missles on the ships I would really appreciate it. And the same thing with the aa guns on the ships they have no cool down which makes it hard to survive but this doesn’t bug me as much as the missles do. I really love this game and I hope that you will see this and consider my suggestions. ### 5/5 — Has high potential *2020-03-19, version 5.2.0* Very entertaining with a variety of events to participate in. Your upgrades take a lot of time and yes money which when you finally max a jet, it still gets out performed by hackers! You should not get taken down by 1 or2 missile with max armor. If that’s the case, your maxed missiles should be able to do the same to other jets. Also very hard to build up diamonds without purchasing more which is what is required for most of your upgrades. You build up your gold coins a lot easier for some upgrades but can’t convert them to diamonds so you wind up purchasing more diamonds which is apparently what the developers want. Eliminate hackers from participating then you can tolerate more spending but waste of money if your expensive maxed jet still no match for cheaters. Also, you should be allowed to sell your planes or gift them to your teammates. Game is fun when you compete with non hacker players. ### 2/5 — War wings was more advance! *2020-02-23, version 5.1.0* You can’t tap on your enemies and you don’t know who’s flying at you or flying away.. it would be nice if you can see the distance of every enemy plane. You will need to spend money to WIN and the rewards are limited to build planes. Be prepared to be other players target that have maxed out planes! I have played for one month and I haven’t maxed any plane. this game is like playing ATARI WITH GOOD GRAPHICS. THE EASIEST THING OF THIS GAME IS HOW TO CHARGE YOU MONEY TO WIN.. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Only gave one star because I can’t give zero. *2022-11-11, version 5.6.0* This game is a SCAM! Customer service is non existent. I spent $ on this game and they deleted my account for no reason. I lost all of my progress and all my purchased planes. I started a new account and have been emailing them about the issue- they told me to join their discord server and they’d help me. I joined the server and they did nothing for me. They just try to get you to join their server so they can get ad revenue off of you, but they won’t lift a finger to help you. I have been emailing since, and they just flat out ignore me. DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS! ### 1/5 — Bad karma *2022-06-16, version 5.6.0* I loved this game until recently I’ve spent quite a bit of money to get where I was 59 they say I don’t register on the game with my email address when I tried to upgrade the game they deleted all My progress on the game and started me out at the beginning, What is wrong with these people who have to play games with clients who have payed money to play this game then delete Everything?🤬😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 ### 1/5 — Super LAG server *2021-06-22, version 5.4.1* Fun game but VOLV needs to fix their lagging server. It’s gotten to the point where it’s nearly unplayable. And no, VOLV, I don’t think your “devil officers are quite arrogant.” I think you are—for letting your servers get so laggy and broken down that your game doesn’t work right, and for not listening to your customers who keep telling you about the problem. ### 1/5 — Refund of some kind would be fair. *2021-06-02, version 5.4.1* You’ve taken our money but failed to make the game any better. Hackers are still in ACOL. When we report these people in the chat room, who does it go to?? You guys?? Also..the game is very unstable at best to say the least. I’ve spent 7 years playing this game and spent a lot of money..those days are done now. ### 1/5 — Volv Does Not Support Game *2021-06-02, version 5.4.1* I’ve been playing this game for about a year and have invested something near $300. Over the last few months the game has become very buggy. The server seems to be overloaded and almost unplayable. Players have been trying to contact Volv in many ways: email, Facebook, in game message, etc. Nobody ever replies back and the problems worsen. Do not spend any money on this game I’m regretting my investment! ### 1/5 — Horrible Update *2021-05-30, version 5.4.1* This game used to be decent although badly over priced and forced you to spend lots of money to do well. However, with the latest update, the game is essentially unplayable now. Takes forever to match when you are lucky enough to load. If it is indicative of other games by this company, run from them as fast as you can and do not spend a penny on it. ### 1/5 — Ok, so.. *2020-04-08, version 5.2.0* So, I go to make some upgrades on the armor and radar. I see that it’s gonna cost 235 diamonds for armor, 135 diamonds for radar. Then I hop on over to the store and purchase 500 diamonds so I can get on with these upgrades. After upgrading the armor I had 265 left. Ok, so since the radar was only 135 then, clearly, I have enough left to do the radar upgrade. Nope.. all of a sudden it jumped up to 400 diamonds. So, I’m guessing the developers of this game thought they were pretty clever when they came up with this ****. Like, maybe I’ll just go back to the store and buy more diamonds? I can only guess how many times I must have been fooled before. Nice little trick. But no, I’m done. There are better aerial combat games out there anyway. ### 1/5 — Sick of the crap!!!! *2019-11-12, version 5.1.0* Another update , another mess being unable to load the game !!! Update 5.1 !!! Last update I lost 2 accounts because 5th generation Kindles could not update the 5.0 update !!!!! Now iPhone 8 will not let me join this latest update . Very upset since I am the Captain of one of the Top Teams !!!!!! ### 1/5 — Went from Fantastic to dreadful in a hurry *2019-04-04, version 4.0.4* “Great dogfighting action! Don’t look for real dynamics, just have fun!!” That was what I originally said. Problem, a guy with 3 basic planes destroyed me. The guy was shooting off three times as many missiles and his gun was hitting me even though I had the attack angle. His bullets were shooting out of the top of his canopy. Obviously he had twinked his planes, and from what I’ve gathered that means he spent A LOT OF MONEY! So once the initial thrill is over. You end up falling pray to the old pay to play (in that if you want to have a decent game your going to have to pay for it) Levels get ridiculously hard ridiculously fast, most likely to frustrate you to pay for better gear. If you want to be competitive get ready to open your wallet 🤪 Fun game in the beginning, but eventually without paying your going to get you tail scorch over and over again. To bad too, it has a lot of potential, but having played for a while it looks like the mechanics are more RPG (percentage hit charts) than physics. ### 1/5 — Great graphics, crappy matching algorithm *2018-01-15, version 3.8.0* Until they fix their matching algorithm, don't waste your time -- you'll only get frustrated. The game writers recently added a "fair play" feature to the game. If you jump out of too many vs. matches, you're penalized, and can't play. You are forced to play against someone with superior planes and scores 2-10X your score (my score is ~10,000). Conversely, you may also be put up against a player with 1/5 your score and inferior planes, and it's way too easy and not fair to the junior player. Your success in the game is directly related to how many in-app purchases you buy. That's lame. Don’t get me wrong, this has a lot of aircraft. But is in desperate need of more to keep being competitive. Things like the F-5, F-4, F-20, F-16XL could all add small little diversity for niche 70s-80s fans like myself. If they even just added the F-5 I’d be happy to play this game until they shut it down if they ever do. Edit months later, I’ve tried many more games that deal in the art of air to air combat.
